I'm glad you cleared that up about the brakes. Some of these self-proclaimed geniuses that make videos out of their garage and work on bikes in the dirt, don't understand that this is a drag race modification only. Can your links be used to raise the bike slightly? I switched to a different size tire and it lowered the rear of my bike about 1/2". I'd like to sdjust the rear back to stock rather than lower the front to match...
Out of the box - not usually as they are configured as "lowering links". That said, some bikes do allow raise and lower and some links can be custom configured with a shorter adjustment rod. Please contact our customer service team for more information. Or go here to request exactly what you are looking for: blog.brocksperformance.com/product-request/
@@BrockDavidson Thanks I'll put in a request for what I need. I'll measure the stock dogbone length and if I can buy a set that will get 10mm (give or take) shorter that will work a treat, thank you for responding so soon!
Dear Brock, at the min 35:06 of this video you say that this "window link" can also raise your bike. This would mean a shorter link than OEM (142mm). Can you please confirm that and specify how shorter can i it go? thanks
That is a general statement regarding the fully adjustable design of our Window Links. On the 2017 GSX-R1000 -*specifically* the link will run into the cat if the bike is raised. If an aftermarket full system is used, the bike can be raised, but the adjustment rod must be shortened for any substantial change. If you believe there is a market need for a link that can be raised, please submit your request here: blog.brocksperformance.com/product-request/ and our engineering team will take a look.
@@BrockDavidson thanks for the answer. well to be honest, i really like your videos on the Gixxer > L7 but i am really not a drag racer. However i have learned a lot from your videos. thanks!! Anyway, i really believe that a adjustable link could be very useful in track racing because it would allow you to play with height but in particular with suspension progressiveness. Moreover, it would be fast, easy and cheaper than having a stock of "Yoshi" dogbones that cost a lot and take more time to be fitted. If you look at MotoGp, they all have an adjustable link.
@@ubbaracingdepartment9892 Your bike doesn't know where it's wheels are spinning. If you fill out the form, engineering might have a shorter adjustment rod for you? We make lower and raise configurations for the H2/BMW and a couple others, but that's because their geometry allows it. With the gixxer, it can't happen with a single rod length.
Not sure if it’s just my thinking but wouldn’t leaving the rear higher and dropping just the front prevent more wheelies then lowering both? Trying to get the physics
Some people believe so, but we don't find that to be the case at the track. With the rear end raised, the rider has a higher cg - anything that lowers the rider (cut seat, etc...) will lead to less wheelies.
@@BrockDavidson what distance would be the safest? I've been riding this way for about a month or so. No real issues so far and been measuring frequency for slippage. Did a couple low speed stoppies to test it. Dumb yes, but didn't know how else to test it lol

Hey I'm trying to lower my 19 gsxr. I can flat foot it. But my ass can't get my leg over it. I got up to a 4 inch drop in the back. I noticed if mash my ch3st to the tank I can do it. Should I lower both parts equal. Front to rear? Will it affect my geometry. Bike rides amazing. Other than my short legs.
As a general rule, we like to have the bike as level as possible as trail changes on the front end can cause irregular handling after such extreem changes on the rear. Make sure you are prepared with one of our adjustable kickstands as the OEM will no longer function correctly.
Brock what will be the best setup to keep the front down with a extended swingarm. To have the front lower then the back to have it even or to have the back lower then the front. Thanks
As explained in the video, there is no 'best' for any of this...there is a starting point, then track side testing to determine which works out best for the bike/rider combination.
Very informative. I have a 01 Gsxr1000 and now in my older age 47 its too high. Not racing slow cruising. Wanna lower back down hate riding at a 45 degree basically. Bought a Harley love it but now gsxr not comfortable 😂
There are companies that make more comfortable bars/seats/controls just to help our aging bodies keep riding the earlier bikes. I used to laugh...now, I want!
@Allen Grant On our Brock's Performance extended bikes, we consider 3" ground clearance about as low as practical on the street with rider sag set at about 9/16" and the correct spring preload and compression/rebound settings. Great videos and very knowledgeable but brock u are taking business away from shops that do this kind of work to make a living. Just something to think about.

Anyway thanks for the response and hope to get some tips from you on clutches and stuff! Ttys!
Where can I get that step down seat?? Great informative video my man!
We had the seat stepped by a local upholsterer and re-covered in headliner material to save cost. We have a similar version available for outright purchase here: brocksperformance.com/custom-corbin-seat-for-suzuki-gsx-r1000-r-17-23/
Thank you sir!
Brock Davidson well you just took more of my money 😂
lol
17 GSXR1K I lowered my front 2 3/16.
The R version is no problem to lower in the front - the standard will be clamped on the fork taper on the lower tree...not a good idea.
@@BrockDavidson what distance would be the safest? I've been riding this way for about a month or so. No real issues so far and been measuring frequency for slippage. Did a couple low speed stoppies to test it. Dumb yes, but didn't know how else to test it lol
I'm glad you cleared that up about the brakes. Some of these self-proclaimed geniuses that make videos out of their garage and work on bikes in the dirt, don't understand that this is a drag race modification only. These guys will remove one rotor off the front to show off their front wheel but cringe at the thought of taking a little material off the brake pad. That's the kind of secrets that drag racers have pushed the limits on for years to win races. Keep the videos coming. Still waiting on an explanation of how that clutch cushion works. LOL
Looked on the site, does the “all motorcycle” lowering link work on a cbr600rr? (I didn’t see it specified) I have a female wanting to ride
No. You will need a link specifically designed for that bike. We don't produce- sorry.
@@BrockDavidson Thanks
How much will increasing the rear height by 1 inch affect the handling and balance of the motorcycle?
For most people, it won't be noticed. For road racing, it will reduce trail and quicken the steering.
@@BrockDavidson Thanks for the good advice.
Yeah, but are there any ceramic bearings installed in the rear suspension's linkage???
They are needle bearings, so no.
how low would you recommend lowering a ‘22 zx14 ? i have a(n) adjustable 12-14 inch swingarm
@Allen Grant On our Brock's Performance extended bikes, we consider 3" ground clearance about as low as practical on the street with rider sag set at about 9/16" and the correct spring preload and compression/rebound settings. More on rider sag: th-cam.com/video/ZqIiIB_oP1I/w-d-xo.html . More on compression/rebound: th-cam.com/video/ZsIcE5GoGvk/w-d-xo.html Remember, it's better to be too tall, and slowly walk it down in small increments than to slam it right away, break your oil pan, drag bodywork or even crash...
@@BrockDavidsonCan’t believe I’m talking to Mr. Brock himself 🤩😂 but most definitely , I appreciate it sir .. and one last question. I just recently purchased your Alien Head 2 full exhaust system .. a tune and dyno is required correct ?

i love these videos, but I have to say, that damn bar code scanner for instructions is next level. Why the hell don't other parts do this????
Most don't know how...or can't afford to learn how. It's a hell of a job.
What TAIL TIDY is that I don't see it on your website all I see is the Yoshimura one and it doesn't look like that
It's the Yosh, we just left off the turn signal mounts.
11:40 in a perfect world the swingarm pivot on the centre of the sprocket, but motorcycles can't do that.
My Husqvarna SMR 511 : hold my beer 😎
They can - but it creates larger hassles than it's worth.

Would it be safe to lower the front forks a half inch with out worrying about the taper on the forks
Sure. We have no problems currently.
god thats a gorgeous bike.
Nobody talks about the front that's the elephant in the room. If I lower the rear 2in how much do I lower the front on an 05 zx10r do I lower it the same or an inch. I want to street ride this bike mostly for highway pulls and just riding everyday

Hi mr brock where can find the exact seat you have on this bike?
OEM seat cut down (locally) and recovered with black head liner material.
yes!!! love your vids!
Hey Brock! I bought a 2016 GSX-S1000 and want to strap the front down. I called your shop a couple hours ago and the girl that answered said you don’t make the radial brackets for my bike. I told her my bike is based on 2005-2008 GSXR 1000 and she said you guys don’t make them for that either. Can you help?
Use our bike finder. I plugged in 2008 gsx-r1000 and this was the result: brocksperformance.com/radial-mount-front-end-lowering-kit-zx-10r-11-15-z900rs-cafe-18-21-gsx-r1000-05-16/ (check technical tab for fitments)

Ok, thank you.
What size wrenches are you using to tighten the lowering link ?
@Tae Tae - 5/8 and 3/4 open-end wrenches. (Material used is not available in metric sizes) Please remember one side has a left-hand thread - see instructions. LOWER also means direction to LOOSEN the jam nuts.
Brock Davidson thanks well appreciate 💯
i have a situation. I set TC to 3 and riding normally then suddenly TC light goes on and engine mode and tc showin (-) and chec in mentioned.....then what does it mean ?
Check the codes in dealer mode and compare them to your manual - the bike will tell you what it thinks is wrong.
@@BrockDavidson where is dealer mode ?
this error goes itself while riding and come suddenly any time.....
@@hassnanbig you will need to purchase a Genuine Suzuki Service Manual. It will show you how to place the bike in dealer mode to display the codes, then cross-reference the codes with other manual's definitions to determine exactly what the bike thinks is wrong and what needs to happen to repair, so the codes will not return. Or, let you local Suzuki dealer handle.
there is not a code because its just showing CHEC. i have a video of behavior of bike..i want to show you..Please tell me how ?

How is the throttle play? Is it tight?
Since it's throttle by wire - the tension exists only to make you feel comfortable as a rider. Feels like a perfect pull and release...even if it's only a radial potentiometer.
Best on TH-cam 👍👍
Cool tips
Thats a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD MamaJama!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to hear from the keyboard warrior's 👍, great series Brock .
How can I get a bike like this important to my country :-)
where did you get the stepped seat?
Stepped locally and covered with a headliner material
Was the alien header sitting too low?
The prototype was not low enough - the production version maximizes ground clearance.
@@BrockDavidson thank you for the reply boss . perfect just making sure I don’t wanna dent those nice headers lol going to be putting a order in for my 2024 gsxr 1000
owwwww that eye looks sore!
Swingarm angles are great to get right, on a TRACK machine designed to enter, settle, and exit corners at the absolute quickest way.
On bikes for drag racing? Throw all that information out the window. haha
@Lifted - pretty much, although there are measurable gains to be noticed, especially in longer swingarm/lower traction applications.

They COULD put the pivot point in line with the sprocket, they just don't lol
Would make changing sprockets a real pain. I'm sure there are many other considerations also.

Great videos and very knowledgeable but brock u are taking business away from shops that do this kind of work to make a living. Just something to think about.
@Future - what I think most about is how telling the same old story and 'hoping' for a different result has resulted in a 90% decrease in sportbike sales over the last 10 years. I personally don't believe that quietly standing back and watching sportbikes die out completely is the best approach and would suggest a similar thought process to any shops that feel like educating the consumer is bad for business. I assure you that having no customers is far worse for business.

I'll get on my 2006 gsx-r 1000 with just a power commander and that's it and it'll blow that bike off the track. These mods are literally useless. It's all about the man not the machine.
