Although there have been printed articles on this task, yours is the first video and the ONLY place I've seen the attachment of the gutters. Well done. I've added this video to the VIDEOS portion of the MAFCA website.
I really like your sincerity and overall presentation, yet I want to see your subscribers climb as they realize the sincere integrity your videos present on this subject matter.
that is friggen nice! I honestly thought " who would buy this mess?" and then when you showed the final results I had to say " that is friggen nice!"..... I know...... I said it twice
Thanks for these videos. Beautiful automobile's. I'll be looking forward to the other videos on this beautiful vehicle. Thanks, ( and I'm subbed now for few weeks)
Brother, what would be a good way to bend and form drip rails and front and back moudlings from the top of model a tudor? Am at that point now. Thank you so much! David
Looks great. I'm sure the silicone sealant is more than adequate for sealing this installation. I've been using Lexel sealant the last couple of years. I believe it bonds to surfaces better than most sealants. Also, the unused portion seems to last indefinitely if the tube is stored in a refrigerator.
I am doing this to a stagecoach roof. The old trim was destroyed, and I see this uses the same kind. What is the vinyl strip edging called? Do you know where one might purchase it? Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Now I'm starting to get brave enough to install my rain gutters. When I bought the car the roof had been installed with the metal strip in place and had been sealed as well. I have attempted to install the rain gutters a couple of times but backed away. did not want to bruise my nice paint job. the metal strip seems awful close to the painted area . how far away from the painted area should this metal strips be.
The wood behind them was gone, so the gutters just pulled off easily. But yes, they are delicate. Most of the time they have to be replaced after removing.
Good information,i have an old woody station wagon missing the top ,after i repair the wood corners I have a basic idea how to install the top correctly, thanks

Cool. That is called Hide-m welt. most any upholstery supplier should have it.

Tank you for this video
Great video, one question.....So no staples/tacks are used on the cross wood pieces right? I didn't see any. but want to make sure.
Yep. That is correct.
Are these vinyl tops water right?
With the sealer properly applied, they are.
I have not found any curved rain gutters at Snyder’s, Bratton’s, Mike’s, etc. anyone have a technique to bend the straight gutters being sold now?
super impressive. How was a metal roof not easier for Ford??
How difficult was it to remove the side trim above the door? Seems like it could be easily damaged. Thanks for showing us how you do it. Looks great!

Great video! How’s the Chevy Classic running?
Thank you. still runs great. just hit 277k with it.
Awesome! That ecotec is all that!
Why didn't you remove the front top eyebrow metal and tack the fabric into the header wood and then install the front metal piece?
At the time stamping large enough for the roof were not available
