I just noticed. The bingo could have one more to it. Form an X with the power moves and than place the 2 red genes on the middle top/bottom or the middle left/right for one more bingo.
I decided to start building this on my own Brachydios since I’m mainly using one and I almost actually had all the genes sitting around in other monsters. I did personally substitute Self-Heal for Divine Protection and Flame Burst for the Burning Fang from Anjanath, but it all still works really well, definitely going to be following more guides like this in the future!
I'll be honest man, you have pretty much been solely responsible for me buying and playing all of my Monster Hunter games, including retrying the playstation one from years ago that I gave up on. So cheers man for getting me to try out a series I had written off 12 years before and leading to me discovering that it is actually fun! Though I do still blame you for the 1200 hours I have sunk into the various titles now and the inevitable 100 to 200 I will most likely get from Stories 2.
Theres one change i would recommend is to replace flame burst with detonate, which is a gene from uragaan Its cheap, and it causes the blast to go off which is super useful
One tweak for pvp players. Change salt in the wound to any technical fire active of your choice. Without it you miss out on coverage and the 2 additional fire bingos you get from it can help make up for the salt in the wound loss.
Haha love to the Greek mythology names, never thought I'd see someone else name Velkhana Demeter like I did. Fun fire build tho, pretty standard that does work for most fire monsties.
Gammoth is an absolute UNIT but that's about all she has going. Still stronger than a good few ice monsties but I would wait for elderfrost to come out before starting to build one, which I would honestly say about any of the four, with their stronger deviant counterparts just around the corner it's better to just wait. That being said you could just translate this build straight to ice and just not have valiant flare (I'm not sure if their is an ice equivalent but I haven't seen one). Slot in something a little more universal. Drop the salt in the wound for (I would say) inflict rate up since ice is generally going to have skillseal which has a naturally lower inflict rate.
@@sephirian688 yeah I will definitely be slotting in elderfrost instead when she arrives and I totally agree. But with two months still till that happens I figured I’d work on a regular Gammoth build for now. I like your suggestion, that’s what I was kinda thinking already. Thanks!
if you give him pump up from devil Jho im pretty sure he will actually become raging Brachydios. i added it to mizutsune and got the glowing effect on them that i believe would make brachydios into raging on top of adding his own blast blight skill.
You can copy 'n paste this to Ratha if you'd like. However since there is no other way to get the Kinship Heal Gene that Ratha has exclusively you'd either have to keep the gene and sacrifice something else in the build or just flat out copy and not bother with it. Note that Ratha's Fire Breath gene cannot be removed, only upgraded.
Brach or Brock, which is what I nicknamed mine has been a staple on my team even before I finished the story. I absolutely love his kinship skill. Too funny!
Anyone else spend countless SR tickets making a fully maxed out elder dragon and deviant team only to realize that your heart truly desires all of the lowest tier monsties...
Hey, am I misinterpreting something or can you reposition your genes to have the 2 non-elemental genes on opposite sides of the center gene in order to get 1 more fire element bingo?
While repositioning is not impossible, it is difficult as you have to completely replace the Genes involved in the swap. In regards to the second part for getting the extra fire bingo, it isn't worth much, as it sacrifices the power bingo it already has, which, though you might be thinking is equal damage on power attacks, is actually a damage drop as 1.3(original fire bonus) x 1.2(original power bonus)> 1.35(your suggested fire bonus) x 1.1(your suggested power bonus). Apologies for mathing out for a moment, but, you asked.
@@Ghostra-jz9vs I do understand that it’s a huge effort to move around genes, but you can still keep the 2 power bingos and get 5 fire bingos with a capital i shape, you would just have to have one of the two power bingos go diagonally.

Not to burst your bubble but Capcom will be patching out the primary elemental/elemental switching because in a recent interview they dubbed it a "bug" even though they showed it off as a feature.
@@flatulent_d9374 that’s so unlike them. I mean it was their feature in the first game lol. Probably one of the most unique things about stories that they have and now they deem it a bug?

Quick little question as I’m doin a bit of a twist on my own slime daddy: does Salt the Wound do more damage per status or just a flat boost from one status?
Paradise Central did a video on this. Rajang's buff is roughly around 50%(maxed out) buff however the Pump Up skill is around 70%(maxed out). The trade off between the two is Rajang's buff only lasts two turns but is a cheap 10 kinship to cast. Pump Up lowers your overall defense by a moderate amount and costs 24 kinship to use but also lasts five turns.
Off-topic, but does Brachydios ever use the horn on its head? It's the one part of its design I'm not fond of so I'm wondering how often it gets used by the beast itself.

35 health on turn when getting targeted in PvP ISN'T that much really. And in turn you could slot in Pump Up which would FURTHER increase those numbers to 1 shot.
