Here's some lore info for anyone who cares: (I know no one likes to read this stuff, but if it pleases even one person, I am happy) Ashwatthama was the son of Drona (the teacher of the Arjuna and his 4 brothers, the pandavas). He was born via a wish made to Lord Shiva by Drona that he be given a son in the image of shiva(Yes Parvatis husband and the one who incinerated kama) and hence the skill Rudra which basically stands for an incarnation of Shiva. He stood against Arjuna and his brothers in the Kurukshetra war in the Mahabharata with his father, Drona, choosing to turn against his pupils. His skill "violation of the chivalric code" most likely refers to a moment in the Mahabharata where he killed the man who killed his father by strangling him at night. (However, it should be noted that said man, Drishtadumnya, who killed his father, also did it in an unethical way) or it could be because when he fought Arjuna, they both invoked the Brahmastra, however, the gods and veda vyasa, knowing the destruction it could cause, told them to lower it, but Ash did not know how to do so, so he aimed it at arjunas wife uttara so that the pandavas would not have an heir. This caused the God Krishna to get angry and take away his jewel, and since Ash wasnt afraid of death, curse him to not die until the end of Kalki yuga (ie. the modern era) His other skill chintamani refers to the jewel on his forehead which made him immune to hunger and unkillable by any being lower than humans. There are different interpretations as to the power of this jewel with some saying it made him immortal. And this brings us to why he is an edgelord; it was because he had to live with the knowledge that his best friend, and leader of Kauravas (The army opposing the pandavas, basically, the bad guys) Duryodhana and father Drona were killed by the Pandavas. (Ofc he did get his revenge, sooooo, not totally all bad for ash). Finally, I would like to point out that his NP makes NO SENSE whatsoever, because the sudarshan chakra is a weapon of lord Krishna and Ashwatthama never had it. Looking at his ce, it seems the devs know that so hopefully we will get some context on it in LB4. A better idea for his NP would have been the "Narayana Astra" Which basically is a very powerful weapon that can kill anyone who is armed. So to make it lore friendly, they could have it be an aoe attack that deals extra damage to knight class enemies. (I could be wrong on some of these things, so please don't crucify me if I am. I've read these books quite a while ago, so some of the stuff I have typed may or may not be wrong), Finally, for anyone who read upto this point, thank you very, very much for taking the time to read the whole thing.
And that Rama also uses sudharshan chakra but instead calls it brahamastra... And karna also casually uses brahamastra but fires a laser from eye ?!?!?!?!? Brahamastra has been relegated to the lowest class of divine weapons in fgo 😂 Plus lakshibai's NP Nahi denge literally translates to 'wont give or Won't yield'... They have literally butchered all the interesting stuff...
He also has the most metal backstory of almost any servant i've seen. For his crimes in war he was punished to witness the world until its end as an immortal but with no way to heal his wounds. All his battle wounds would fester with puss and maggots and it's become an urban legend that you can still hear his war cries when visiting old battlefields, raging at his dishonor and the world.
Aside from his design, his NP is one of the most badass I've seen in this game. You really can't go wrong with LB4's second banner if you're looking for a good support or a heavy hitter.

Ah yes the "Incarnation of rage" isn't a Berserker... classic Type Moon. Sidenote: His weapon is a Chakram which is (surprisingly) a ranged weapon so it actually kinda makes sense. I'm gonna roll for Doc and hope I get Ash while doing so

Yes, my boy Ash is finally being featured. I love him, he makes CQ with dumb charm gimmicks a complete cakewalk, love how you can stack defense down on the enemy and stack crit damage for himself, his NP chant is top tier, his animations and Np are way to good, he is *BRUTAL*

I've wanted him for that too but when I learned more about him his lore and his skills np etc he god tier also his passives are one best etc he not even actually a 4 star that a disguise he really a 5 star
Ash really does feel like a nice addition to the single target archer lineup, especially with how powerful his 30% charge and def down skills are, if anything I'd be more than happy to welcome him to my chaldea if he comes in my summons, especially with his badass animations and voice

Asclepius is in the same Banner as Ashwatthama and Godjuna, right? Then my hopes for reuniting the Argonauts crew is closer then I thought! (though I don't have Medea Lily, only her grown up version)
I'm so happy I got Np2 of him. His skills are great. His NP looks Great with ascension 2. OH and His NP is great. His attack stat is 2nd highest. His lore was cool in LB4. There's nothing I don't like about him.

It’s ironic and funny that the most fitting servant and candidate for the seat of Grand Berserker is forbidden to be summon in that class.Summoning him in Berserker Class is basically an end game move as he will end and destroy everything unbiasedly.Although from his lore its possible to summon him as an Avenger as well.

I ended up liking this guy so much that I grailed him to 100. His crits are insane. I gave Ash Joint Recital and paired him with Chiron + Hans with 2030s and slapped crit dmg up command codes on Ash. He just slaughters anything and everything every turn. I can't wait to pair him with Chen Gong for mad damage.
For me personally, Card Rng sucks for him most of the time because I really want him to reach his full potential with his def down and crit buff At least his Star and np gen is decent
Okay, so, pointing this out now? That giant wheel Ashwatthama uses is actually a giant chakram. Chakram are throwing weapons that are basically airfoil discs with the centre cut out - you're supposed to spin them on your finger and then propel them forwards with the centrifugal force. Basically shuriken, but a little more fancy. While there is little evidence to support this, there are claims that warriors skilled enough in the use of chakrams were capable of outright severing limbs when they threw their chakrams at people. Granted, the one Ashwatthama uses is a bit bigger than your standard chakram and thus needs to be used differently, but it DOES actually bring him closer to being an ACTUAL Archer than a lot of other people in the Class (looking at YOU, Jeanne).
Me every time I see Kamen Rider Hot Wheels: OH MY GAWD! HE'S SO GOD DAMN COOL! I honestly have so many ST Buster 4-star Archers but still I want him. With Godjuna and now Ash, pako has been really blessing us with some awesome servant designs
But William is a 3* Servant and a non-Limited one to boot. I don't see any reason for *SoberOni* to make a Review of him. _(unless he's exceptionally good or something)_
@@sopadumacacoumadelicia5 I think what he meant was "every 4* and 5* Servant in LB4". By his own admission prieviously, he doesn't usually do Reviews for 3* Servants or lower rarity. He might make an exception if the Servant is very powerful or very unique, like Houzouin Inshun, but that's usually not an area he touches on. That's all I'm saying. _(there might still be hope, though, we'll have to see)_

have him on jp. hes an absolute beast that doesnt care about class advantage. he beats the shit out of everything equally and i love it. even at np1 he easily does 200k neutral dmg with his np and another 50k-100k with buster crits.
I probably won't use him much, since Fujino has been my go to single target archer since I managed to scrap out NP5 from the KnK rerun, but if I get him, I won't complain.

While I didn’t get the big guy Arjuna like I was vaguely hoping for, I have to say that getting the angry wheel man is enough to satisfy me. Plus one of my FGO friends already has a Level 100 Arjuna Alter ready, so at this point getting my own would feel kinda redundant. XD
Really wish Nasu had named the class RANGER to go with it's D&D counterpart/inspiration I mean the first 'Archer' we meet is a tanned dude with dual wields.
Ranger _DOES_ sound a lot cooler, not gonna lie. And also more elaborate, like Saber and Lancer are, rather then "Swordsman" and "Spearman". Dang! Speaking it out loud, "Archer" really feels underwhelming compared to "Ranger".
I'm not going to lie; when I first heard of Ashwatthama, I didn't pay him any mind. I knew nothing about him, he seemed like a strange choice for a Servant in FGO, and I literally said "An Archer that uses an Over-Sized Wheel to attack with!? Why!?!?!?" when I first saw his Animations. However, now that some time has past since his release in JP, I can say that I'm looking forward to getting him; as a matter of fact I'm looking forward to him More than Arjuna Alter, AND I'm hoping to get Ashwatthama NP 2 at least since I wanna compare him to a Certain other 4 Star Archer that I've Grailed to Lvl 90 and Love using so Very much!!! (Who's only had 1 F***ING RATE UP EVER!!!!!! SERIOUSLY, WTF DW!?!?!? [Yeah, I'm sure people know who I'm referring to now, lol.]) Also, when it comes to the Gold Servants in the LostBelt 4 Banners, Ashwatthama is my 3rd Most Looked Forward To Servant among then!! Who are my 2nd and 1st?? Sober Oni will find out when I comment on those other 2 Gold Servant Spotlights when they come out, lol. ^_^

It’s ironic and funny that the most fitting servant and candidate for the seat of Grand Berserker is forbidden to be summon in that class.Summoning him in Berserker Class is basically an end game move as he will end and destroy everything unbiasedly.Although from his lore its possible to summon him as an Avenger as well.

I ended up liking this guy so much that I grailed him to 100. His crits are insane. I gave Ash Joint Recital and paired him with Chiron + Hans with 2030s and slapped crit dmg up command codes on Ash. He just slaughters anything and everything every turn. I can't wait to pair him with Chen Gong for mad damage.
For me personally, Card Rng sucks for him most of the time because I really want him to reach his full potential with his def down and crit buff

Okay, so, pointing this out now? That giant wheel Ashwatthama uses is actually a giant chakram.
Chakram are throwing weapons that are basically airfoil discs with the centre cut out - you're supposed to spin them on your finger and then propel them forwards with the centrifugal force. Basically shuriken, but a little more fancy.
While there is little evidence to support this, there are claims that warriors skilled enough in the use of chakrams were capable of outright severing limbs when they threw their chakrams at people.
Granted, the one Ashwatthama uses is a bit bigger than your standard chakram and thus needs to be used differently, but it DOES actually bring him closer to being an ACTUAL Archer than a lot of other people in the Class (looking at YOU, Jeanne).

I honestly have so many ST Buster 4-star Archers but still I want him. With Godjuna and now Ash, pako has been really blessing us with some awesome servant designs

@@sopadumacacoumadelicia5 I think what he meant was "every 4* and 5* Servant in LB4". By his own admission prieviously, he doesn't usually do Reviews for 3* Servants or lower rarity.
He might make an exception if the Servant is very powerful or very unique, like Houzouin Inshun, but that's usually not an area he touches on. That's all I'm saying. _(there might still be hope, though, we'll have to see)_

I'm don't rember very well, but I think a friend told me once that the grail itself won't let him be a berserker cause he would fuck everything up.
His real lore is he invincible when angry he pretty much asura wrath

hes an absolute beast that doesnt care about class advantage.
he beats the shit out of everything equally and i love it.
even at np1 he easily does 200k neutral dmg with his np and another 50k-100k with buster crits.
I probably won't use him much, since Fujino has been my go to single target archer since I managed to scrap out NP5 from the KnK rerun, but if I get him, I won't complain.

While I didn’t get the big guy Arjuna like I was vaguely hoping for, I have to say that getting the angry wheel man is enough to satisfy me.
Plus one of my FGO friends already has a Level 100 Arjuna Alter ready, so at this point getting my own would feel kinda redundant. XD
Really wish Nasu had named the class RANGER to go with it's D&D counterpart/inspiration I mean the first 'Archer' we meet is a tanned dude with dual wields.
Ranger _DOES_ sound a lot cooler, not gonna lie. And also more elaborate, like Saber and Lancer are, rather then "Swordsman" and "Spearman". Dang! Speaking it out loud, "Archer" really feels underwhelming compared to "Ranger".

I'm not going to lie; when I first heard of Ashwatthama, I didn't pay him any mind. I knew nothing about him, he seemed like a strange choice for a Servant in FGO, and I literally said "An Archer that uses an Over-Sized Wheel to attack with!? Why!?!?!?" when I first saw his Animations. However, now that some time has past since his release in JP, I can say that I'm looking forward to getting him; as a matter of fact I'm looking forward to him More than Arjuna Alter, AND I'm hoping to get Ashwatthama NP 2 at least since I wanna compare him to a Certain other 4 Star Archer that I've Grailed to Lvl 90 and Love using so Very much!!! (Who's only had 1 F***ING RATE UP EVER!!!!!! SERIOUSLY, WTF DW!?!?!? [Yeah, I'm sure people know who I'm referring to now, lol.]) Also, when it comes to the Gold Servants in the LostBelt 4 Banners, Ashwatthama is my 3rd Most Looked Forward To Servant among then!! Who are my 2nd and 1st?? Sober Oni will find out when I comment on those other 2 Gold Servant Spotlights when they come out, lol. ^_^
Can't wait to have Ultimate Shishou face off against Ash next month.
