Sounds like a great idea. Very creative. Doesn't look hard at all. I can't wait to hear how it worked out for you. Until then I will still be using my Golf Club. Thanks Jim
Everything is going good. Thanks for checking! Just trying to fill archery tags. Plan on setting some traps this Sunday. Hope to get some footage soon. Definitely a wet one this year.
It's been a couple years since this video. Are you still using it and happy with the way it works. I'm tired of the blood and would go this way if it works.
It works great. I hate to be without it. It can be a little challenging to get it on a critter sometimes, but as with anything, there is a learning curve.
Neat project, I always liked the ideas of making your own tools. I heard so many times, just buy one. No where's near as fun. My father and I made a 330 trap setter 40 years ago out of threaded rod. You just didn't have the resources to buy things or find them then.
Thanks 👍. I'm always tinkering around with stuff. If I can make something out of things I have laying around, I'd never buy it. It's satisfying to make something and have it work.
Love it! If I forget it, I go back for it. There’s a small learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it’s remarkably effective. Just made one for my brother and took it to him today.
Thanks Jim! I’m a fellow Pennsylvanian from Armstrong County that got a lot more interested in trapping because of watching your videos. Still trying to connect on my first k-9 though. I think I’m going to try making my own catch/dispatch pole.
I really like the thought of not having the blood mess even with a .177 or.22 short. Thanks for SHARING this. Have a BLESSED day
It's quick on k9's
I always seem to forget to throw my catch/release pole in the truck lol. Thats a good build buddy, your really good at that stuff.

Thanks Chip. The golf club sounds pretty creative too.
Great idea! Looks like it should work.
Thanks. I’ll find out soon.
Hope everything is good. Haven’t seen a video for a while. Weather sure hasn’t been very good. Lots of rain

@@LiveMoreOutdoors Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a try.
Good video LMO a dispatch pole is always handy
Thanks. I hope it works. I assume you have used one before.

Now that you’ve had some time to try your catch/dispatch pole how do you like it?

Do you just use it for K-9’s or do you also use it for other animals too like raccoons?
I use it for everything: k9s, raccoons, opossums, bobcats....

You’ll connect eventually. Are you setting any cables?
Which method do you prefer for dispatch, this or 22?
The dispatch pole is going to be new for me this season, so I can’t give an honest opinion. I’ve only used a 22. I give an update once I use the pole.
@@LiveMoreOutdoors thanks, looking forward to an update on that.
Did it work?
Better than expected.
