I defintely grow up on reading Golden Key. My favorite, or favorites, Space Ghost, Johnny Quest,Wild Wild West, Man from Uncle, Green Hornet, to name a few... Straight forward reading for a somewhat straight forward era...
I remember owning about a half dozen or so Gold Key comic books when I was about 6-7 years old. There were some Disney character titles I had like Huey, Dewey and Louie, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and also some non-Disney titles like Richie Rich. I always wondered what happened to Gold Key comics, and after having watched this video I know. Thanks!
Kudos, young man ! Very well done ! You sure know your stuff ! I am a child of the 60s so I am very familiar with both names (Dell and Gold Key) from my comic book reading days ! Wonderful memories.... 🤓👍
I am from Mexico, and I liked your video, thanks for translate this information, I don't know much English but I wanted you to know and encourage you. Haz más videos con subtitulos por fa... Make Videos with Spanish subtitles, please... saludos from Mexico.
Dell was VERY cautious back in 1960-61, before going up in price for the entire line to 15 cents. they had select titles with that price sent to certain big cities, and kept a close eye on how they sold, at a 50% higher price. They jumped the gun, and it hurt them greatly.
cool topic, i like lots of these books and remember reading lots as a kid,.... However, if you're just gonna sit there and read off that monitor, it makes me wonder what you really know about the topic should one turn same off,...... I would like it if you used more visual examples to illustrate what youre talking about as well,.... also, consider this: your speaking on the history of gold key comics and you never mention george roussos, alberto giolitti, or russ manning,....much less george wilson. reresearch your topic i do like these two companies though and thanks for posting on them
Thanks for this. I did not realize the back history of Dell and Gold Key.

Very good, but please don't knock on your desk so often, the generated noise is unnerving
