Ain't nobody can match Archie singing this song,i can still imagine it echoing across the hilltops at Inspiration park, thanks for always being the best you can be at sharing God's Love,Wally
Yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of dad's homegoing..He loved The Inspirations! And he loved singing about God's Amazing Grace before preaching to men at the rescue mission.
I was there as well as a kid, between my two grandmas, I ddnt understand it then, but I do now, They stood ,hands in the air with tears rollin down their cheeks as Archie belted out the most powerful version of Amazing Grace I had ever heard and still today , nearly 38 years old, it still the most powerful version of amazing grace and the tears rollin down cheeks are mine. God Bless
I was there with you all with the Carters. My name is Kinghorn (Revelation 17). Like you say between my Grandma and family. I know we are close to the end of ages. I am wondering if I had anything to do with it. I've gone through uncountable concussions, 4 a comas, 4 amnesias. He chose me and has walked every step of this life with me; Father is Hallowed!
In the mid 1960’s I was part of a youth choir at Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church, our director called upon me to do this number as a solo. I sang it for three years. Never achieved Brother Archies level, but as an older man I have fond memories of this time of my life.
Ya just ain't been sung to until Archie Watkins and Vestel Goodman done sung to ya.I love the Inspirations and of course the Happy Goodman's. Thank you so much for posting. A true blessing.
I like the song that their sign but some one die and when some one sing it I cried and my mom said why are you cried and I said because they are sign that song

So thankful to my Jesus Christ who died for me and paid my way . What a love . Thank you Jesus for grace. Bless the vessel that poured out that song.
I was there!! My most favorite Southern Gospel group of ALL time!!
Mary Swan mine too.
Mary Swan I agree. I sang this number as a solo in 1965 in my youth group choir. But, no one does it better than brother Archie. I will be 70 soon.
Loved the Singing in the Smokies when I was a kid. Mom went every year. Can still hear this echoing down the hollow

the inspirations are truely a blessing for old time and still today
Very true! The group just won't be the same without him. Just seems strange him not singing with them anymore - I've listened to them my whole life.
