My wife died fifteen years ago in an accident, I'm 63 years old, she would have been 61 years old next April. We are working class Dubliners, but she loved beautiful things and she tried to express that inner feeling and pose it against life's injustices. Instead of posting some words of tribute to her on her next birthday, I am going to play this beautiful, piece of music as a tribute to her memory as it reminds me of the beauty that was inherent in her. Thankyou for putting it up.
Talent and skill are both crucial for the creation of music this good. This quartet has both, which is more than I can say for the crappy version I bought on iTunes.
Hello Ivan. Thank you for your message. We only record where the quality of recording can be relied on. This means a specially selected place that is both quiet and with excellent acoustics. This would not have worked on a noisy boat I'm afraid :)
With such amazing talent I can see why the Royal family invited you to the wedding of Harry and Meghan. This video shows us what you can do. Très magnifique ❤️
I was asked today to marry my soul mate and this is the song I will have played at my wedding! I will be leaving my family in the USA and moving to Liverpool!! But I would live on the moon if he wanted me to! It's both our 2nd marriages he is a widower and I was cheated on. We found each other by mistake but now know God brought us together
I am a 16-year-old violinist and this performance is such an inspiration to me. My music teacher gave me this exact arrangement, this has helped me a lot and I listen to your recording all the time, thank you so much!
my sister&brother in law hired you for their wedding back in 2014 .. amazing walking down the aisle to this, &seeing my sister as happy as anything:) thank you.
Beautiful music. This piece was written by Pachelbel for a wedding (Beethoven's, I think) and fell into obscurity until the early 1970's when it was played at classical San Francisco station and the phones rang off the hook with requests for this magical musical piece. We almost lost this beautiful masterpiece to history
Amedeo De Amicis I stand corrected: are wholly unknown. Hans-Joachim Schulze, writing in 1985, suggested that the piece may have been composed for Johann Christoph Bach's wedding, on 23 October 1694, which Pachelbel attended. Johann Ambrosius Bach, Pachelbel, and other friends and family provided music for the occasion.[4] Johann Christoph Bach, the oldest brother of Johann Sebastian Bach, was a pupil of Pachelbel. Another scholar, Charles E Brewer, investigated a variety of possible connections between Pachelbel's and Heinrich Biber's published chamber music. His research indicated that the Canon may have been
We used this as my entrance song at our wedding. We were married underneath a 500 yr old live oak at sunset/dusk by candlelight at Houmas House in Donaldsville, Louisiana. It was absolutely stunningly gorgeous. I'll never forget it. This was perfect. I cant imagine anything else for that moment. Thank you so much, ladies.❤️
How beautiful! This is the song that played in church on my wedding day as my father walked me down the aisle. My father has since passed away. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of him.
This comment made me feel so good. Even though its not involving me, I can really feel you even though I'm still just in my teens years. I can feel you. This song is so special and one day I'll play this song on my wedding day too.
Your comment mirrors my experience with this song perfectly. My father walked me down the aisle to this song and I have a picture of it, where he looks so proud and happy. He has passed away as well and I will now think of him when I hear this song because of your comment. Thanks for that little gift.
My wife walked up the isle to this almost 4 and half years ago.we was together for 10 year. But August this year she called it a day. I still love you rose i always will. Love from your cray xxxx
This is how it should be played. Absolutely the right tempo! OH WOW! If & when I ever get married, I want to hire these 4 women to play at my wedding. Absolutely stunning! BRAVA!
Walked my second daughter to her waiting fiance in a magnificent vineyard wedding ceremony to this unbelievably beautiful music. Still get all emotional every time I hear it.
It's still really important to keep track of where you are, to keep time with the others, and to know when to finish, if they fell out of rhythm the whole thing would fall apart
Charlie Heaney except that in most scores of Canon in D it's just the right notes w/a repeat at the end. I haven't seen one where the cellist has the right notes over and over across two pages.
Aaaaaa...there's nothing like watching four beautiful ladies play one of the most beautiful song's ever written.....pleasing to the eye and the ear....
Connor Hale I play cello and violin and the cello part is way easier and I think it's better because then you can focus on everyone and it sounds so beautiful
There is something admirable about playing a cello part that requires playing the same few notes again and again (and again)'and still give it a freshness at every pass. That's musicianship!
I'm a 60 year old man and I cry EVERY time I hear a string quartet play this song at this speed. There used to be a group of Uni students who used to sit outside Myers in Sydney, (about 30 years ago), and play this song and ONLY this song on Saturday mornings. They would have a violin case open and people would throw in heaps of money. I would always watch them when I was there and I would try not to blubber but when the rising violin bit starts, (I know very little of musical terms), that would be the end of me. I bet JP never thought his littly ditty would live so long.
+Melissa Lambert:Dear!May God bless your marriage with love and happy lifetime, sharing by couple in love!♡♥I hope yours,it's real Christian wedding in church...Mine "wedding"day is on next Friday(2/12)-some paper stuff-in our City Hall. But it's temporary:we've got our romantic love, our unique relationship, meeting in '12 after decades hoping,praying....If God wishes,it'll work and we'll be able for a true church wedding in the future. You see,it's my heaIth's desicion...I sincerely wish you happiness in entire lifetime my unknown sweetheart.Yours, faithfully from south Europe!
Omg...I am so in love with this music! It has always been my favorite piece of music for the longest time. I cry every time I hear it. I want so badly to play this for my wedding as I am getting married on December 29, 2017 to my handsome fiancé that saved me from the abusive relationship I was in. Thank you for putting up this beautiful song. I absolutely love it!!!
I just fell in love with the gal on the left, 2nd to the right, 3rd to the right, and the gal on the right.....I can only imagine this is how it was originally played, Bravo girls!!
I don't know how many times I heard this composition...pachelbel should have been a very emotional person...to give this masterpiece....thanks for this violin presentation... fantastic 🎉
There's a million versions on youtube but most of them are incredibly slow, which I really dislike. This one is perfect. Beautiful string quartet, perfect tempo, lovely sound, fantastic energy. Just great...!
Simply delightful! These four musicians are the Baroque version of the "fab four." The Beatles will forever be remembered for their soul-stirring harmonies. These women have awakened harmony from their respective strings...They not only interpret Pachelbel but they seem to be able to divine the inner meaning which the great German Baroque composer, a contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach, was trying to convey. Bravo and Encore!
My wife and I had this played at our wedding in Dublin 27 years ago by some music students..... was played as she walked down the isle to me. We heard it first in Notre Dame in Paris when we were teens, madly in love in the 1980s. We will have it again when we finally depart this world. Beautiful!
I like this song so much. I remember that learnt the piano duet version from my piano teacher (unfortunately he died from a heart attack 4 years after he began taught me piano). Later, I met my wife and we always play this song together. We also played this song together in our friends' wedding ceremony.
2:18 Viola solo :DDD. We're playing this at my school and it's actually kinda hard to stay focus on the sheet music and not just drift away, the music is just so beautiful!!
Absolutely beautiful! Listened to this song for years. Never watched it played! & what can I say! bring me so many emotions! Just amazing! Well done girls!
This is the song I wanted the hotel where I had my wedding reception to get their band to play but wasn't successful. That was 17 years ago. Hearing you play this piece brings back memories and wish I could do it all over again for my wife. She deserves this beautiful melody at her wedding!!
My daughter had this played at her wedding as escorted her down the aisle. I will always remember the moments and this beautiful rendition makes my heart sing!
my tears fall down as i listen to this song... it relaxed my mind a bit after all the hardships that come in my life specially the most devastating discovery in my married life...
I have always been into music and growing up with country that is what I played. I played lead guitar and backup singer in a country band when I was young, later I joined a bluegrass band and did that until I was an old man. I always knew I didn't like rock and I never heard music like this until I was an old. One day I was scanning for something to watch on TV; I stopped on a girl singing. When she got through another girl started and that's how Celtic Woman completely captivated me. I started searcing for music like that on TH-cam and came up with Secret Garden so I started listening to them and music like that every night and that is how I came across Wedding String Quartet. I just wish I had been introduced to this kind of music when I was young.
All 4 of u are just....not from this world!!! This world should be just like the sounds that u make, peaceful, warm, kind, helpfull, frendly and so much more that i can say. This is not music, this is..... life. Thank you all for existing and making us live!
Listening to this song gives me so much longing and yearning of the time in my youth when I was preparing to start college. Life was full of possibilities, what to do, who you will meet. Now I am midlife have accomplished everything, but really yearned for that time.
I used this (exact copy) & I, too, tear up every time I hear this because I see myself walking down the isle toward the man I will spend the rest of my life with. Thank you so much for giving me the most elegant walk down the isle I could have dreamed of.
Speaking as a cellist she is truly the best. I absolutely cannot play this song just because of how stressed I get thinking of playing the same 8 notes over and over again
this is the song i wish to have the day i get married, but i need the groom first. but you know its such a beautiful melody, everytime i hear it its like im in love with him already without even knowing him. you ladies have such a wonderful connection that speaks to my heart and with every string played makes me go into a deep dream of meeting my one true love very soon. keep it up :) all the way from the deep south texas
Listening to this really lifts my spirits. Light at the end of this long dark tunnel. Thank you...hope everyone is safe out there during this pandemic.
I find this piece to be unique in the way that the players seem to fight for the time. There doesn't seem to be a leader presenting a time standard it's almost as if the players are each fighting to dominate the song. This creates a unique listening experience while most sounds so perfect that one might not be forced to pay such attention to every note
I was married before to the wrong person, but my daddy walked me down the aisle with this beautiful piece Canon D, by Pachelbel. My daddy passed away, but this song brings me back to that beautiful memory with daddy ❤️
Beautifully talented. One day my girls will learn to play that as a duo. One is playing Violin now and my other is starting to play Cello:). This makes my heart sing...
Is that tears that are falling from my eyes? Yes. Beautiful piece of music played beautifully. We had this played at our wedding. Then at first my Dad's and then my Mum's funerals.

That's the cellist's curse for this piece. But you still have to bring it! Loved it.
My wife died fifteen years ago in an accident, I'm 63 years old, she would have been 61 years old next April. We are working class Dubliners, but she loved beautiful things and she tried to express that inner feeling and pose it against life's injustices. my condolences
Condolences stay strong;)
that will make a very nice tribute. this is beautiful music :)
I'm so sorry for your loss. God bless you
I can see why you were invited to play at the Royal wedding. Fantastic talent.
It's not a talent and has never been. only hard work and hours of practice
@@BeJIuKuu1 you must be young aye..
@@BeJIuKuu1 no matter how hard you are working, it's totaly useless without talent.
Talent and skill are both crucial for the creation of music this good. This quartet has both, which is more than I can say for the crappy version I bought on iTunes.
@zegordo BOGO!
Props to the cellist who played the same 8 notes over and over again!
Personally speaking the cellist is as great as other players as she supports the entire piece with basic notes!
Thats what cellist has to do
I've always wondered how the cellist doesn't get distracted by the others.
Ikr😂😂😂👌👌
Well if I were a cellist, I would definitely put the whole score in front of me to keep track of the piece.
We were actually in Windsor performing on a river boat for Meghan and Harry's wedding today! :)
The String Quartet Channel is there a video of this?
Hello Ivan. Thank you for your message.
We only record where the quality of recording can be relied on. This means a specially selected place that is both quiet and with excellent acoustics. This would not have worked on a noisy boat I'm afraid :)
That is great !!
You deserve it guys❤
With such amazing talent I can see why the Royal family invited you to the wedding of Harry and Meghan. This video shows us what you can do.
Très magnifique ❤️
Beautiful. I am glad Harry and Meghan had the pleasure to listen to such a wonderful performance.
あらためてパッヘルベルは偉大なり、高いレベル、高度な演奏をするカルテットも偉大です、感謝、感謝、ありがとうございます。
Timeless perfection: a seasonless celebration. New-born lambs, tumbling streams, nodding flowers, falling leaves and swirling snow - transcendent and cleansing.

love how the cellist keeps looking at her score as if it isnt just the same 8 notes on repeat lmao
Probably checking how close the end of the song is so she can finally stop playing haha
i kinda feel bad 😌

Connor Hale I play cello and violin and the cello part is way easier and I think it's better because then you can focus on everyone and it sounds so beautiful
There was a whole comedic rant done about how boring the cello part is in the Canon in D.
It's only boring if you make it boring. I've played the same part many times on Tuba and have always found ways of making it mine own.
oof lol

I don't know how many times I heard this composition...pachelbel should have been a very emotional person...to give this masterpiece....thanks for this violin presentation... fantastic 🎉
I wrote an entire paragraph, edited, then re-edited, but realized this piece is too beautiful to put into words; I can get lost in it.
There's a million versions on youtube but most of them are incredibly slow, which I really dislike. This one is perfect. Beautiful string quartet, perfect tempo, lovely sound, fantastic energy. Just great...!
Agreed, some are like funeral marches ! This was perfect timing and NO ELECTRONIC PIANO rubbish either.
The first time I ever heard this song, about 30 years ago, it was an upbeat tempo like this. I've only liked this version ever since.
janboekel me too I love this version
Agreed! This is the most perfect version I have ever heard.
I shazamed myself from an instagram story lol
Came for this Canon version & I love it , but I cant keep my eyes off of the Celloist. She is gorgeous!

Reminds me of my nephew who use to play this on his violin. Sadly he took his life last year.😢

This is late, but I’m sorry for your loss.
ohnooo,didnt,see,that,coming
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️. I’m praying for you and your family
I'm very sorry for your loss.
When I get anxious or stressed out, this is my go to piece to listen to that settles my nerves. It’s just so soothing.
One of the best classical pieces ever written. Lovely performance
Many thanks!
The best version of this song. I used this in my wedding, now I hear with tears in my eyes! 😍💕
What tittle of this music
My wife and I had this played at our wedding in Dublin 27 years ago by some music students..... was played as she walked down the isle to me. We heard it first in Notre Dame in Paris when we were teens, madly in love in the 1980s. We will have it again when we finally depart this world. Beautiful!
this is one of the few brilliant renditions of this piece I've ever heard
This song is so soothing. I love the violin's harmony and how the instruments play together to create a beautiful piece of music.
totally my wedding song but also the song at my funeral. Either way its my song of peace.
Emily Archer that solo was amazing though
Don't be worry, you have a metronome (the cello)
I'm playing this as a duet on the piano for my exams and I dream the whole way through it. definitely my favourite piece of music ever written.
How u know ooh my god
Absolutely beautiful! Listened to this song for years. Never watched it played! & what can I say! bring me so many emotions! Just amazing! Well done girls!
This is the song I wanted the hotel where I had my wedding reception to get their band to play but wasn't successful. That was 17 years ago. Hearing you play this piece brings back memories and wish I could do it all over again for my wife. She deserves this beautiful melody at her wedding!!
J'ai entendu pour la première fois le Canon en 1976... Quelle fabuleuse impression...Je la retrouve à chaque écoute... Chapeau bas, Pachelbel !!!
Forget the wedding and the hotel and everything else. Four beautiful musicians playing a lovely tune.

Hope to find Mr. Right and have this song playing while I go down the aisle. My dream 😊
This song, its so beautiful, so pure, just like I'm in heaven
Stunning music played by extremely talented musicians.
This is the best version I have heard. I love this song. Beautiful.
Beautiful. I love this music. The voice of God
Speaking as a cellist she is truly the best. I absolutely cannot play this song just because of how stressed I get thinking of playing the same 8 notes over and over again
This is such a beautiful song. I faced to it on my ballet recital. Thx John Pachebel for writing and composing it.
This is my all time favorite classical piece and this is the best rendition I've ever heard. Thank you. ❤️
Glad you like it!
That most loved piece from classical music. So well performed.
This performance is from heaven!
Lots of love. ❤❤❤❤❤
This tune is INSPIRED & ANOINTED! Touches deep in the soul. I liked their temp, not too fast
i cried this is completely beautiful!
The most beautiful piece of music ever composed and played to absolute perfection with this quartet ❤️. Stunning
Glad you like it!
I love this song so much and it would be a dream come true if this was played at my wedding.
Oh my god!! Look how this is amazing 😭 look to their faces how they're playing the violin with their all feelings❤️❤️❤️i love it.

Listening to this really lifts my spirits. Light at the end of this long dark tunnel. Thank you...hope everyone is safe out there during this pandemic.

This creates a unique listening experience while most sounds so perfect that one might not be forced to pay such attention to every note
Das ist doch mal ein echter Canon - Pachelbel würde sich freuen - super!!!

Theyre Each Amazing, but I dig the Cellist --she's Other-Worldly in Talent, Skill, Loveliness
A beautiful timeless scene! Thankyou ladies for capturing it.
Thank you too!
This just touches my soul as I am sure it has touched millions of other souls through history. What a treasure of a legacy to humanity.
Had this for my wedding. Most beautiful woman. Luckiest groom.
I was married before to the wrong person, but my daddy walked me down the aisle with this beautiful piece Canon D, by Pachelbel. My daddy passed away, but this song brings me back to that beautiful memory with daddy ❤️

It's wonderful! I am watching behind them playing... the bride and groom and photographer... makes it all adorable.
Awesome song. Never heard it arranged for a viola in this way! I love the alto sound of that viola.
