I was blessed to have seen these guys live on numerous occasions back in the 70s and 80s. This is by far my most favorite song, and it is basically a signature song for them. What a great bunch of humble guys, just doing what they loved to do.
Love this. Wish they would place this album on Spotify like they have with some of their other old albums. Archie brings it like no other, and with that unmistakable mountain twang!
This is the absolute peak of the long, long career of the Inspirations. Did you know that this album (12th anniversary live) and "A Night of Inspiration" were recorded on successive nights in Warner Robbins, Georgia? Its true.
Yes, April 9th and 10th 1976. I have several really old Singing News from then that mention that. It was a really big thing and the height of their popularity.
I agree, with Troy Burns singing the lead, Eddie singing baritone, Big Mike, Archie and Jack Laws occaisonally joining in, they were never better. Not that I don't like Ronnie Hutchens and some of the other old Inspirations, but on this Album and the other live album recorded at Warner Robbins they were at their best ever. I have the CD with both of these live recordings and have practically worn it out already.
I declare healing in your hearing in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I declare that the next time you listen to this song you will hear clearly in Jesus name amen.
The words are as follows Verse 1 I will arise and go to jesus he will embrace me in his arms in the arms of christ my savior o there are ten thousand charms. Verse 2 Come ye weary heavy laden lost and mangled by the fall if you tarry til you're better you may never come at all Chorus Its shouting time in heaven a sinner once lost is found its shouting time in heaven salvation has been brought down no wonder the Angel's rejoice to know my sins have been covered by the crimson flow and now I'm feeling fine I'm walking in the highway built by love my names written down in thee courts above its shouting time in heaven o yes its shouting time
Love these recordings.. If at all possible could you possibly upload the song off of this record called "In the morning" ??? I can't find it anywhere. Thank you for the vids
It's "shoutin' time" on earth too, when someone gets saved.

Love these guys!
My hearing is really bad and I cannot hear the lyrics - just a few here and there, but I love this!!

I never knew the inspirations were the originators of this amazing shouting song. I wonder if the hoppers have to pay royalties to them lol!!!!!!!
I noticed in the middle of the video the list of songs on the album. It indicates that "Shoutin' Time" was Public Domain.
I knew that but I just wanted to sound witty. God bless you and thanks for the comment
