- In this video, I show you to catch a limit of crappie in the fall. Fall Crappie Fishing 2023 is on fire in Texas. In the fall, these crappie are going to have a very aggressive bite, and more crappie will bite then not. Crappie fishing in October is one of the best bites of the year in my opinion. When hooking the minnow like you do, does it allow the minnow to have a natural horizontal presentation?
It does not. Lol I don’t think crappie care. It’s all a reaction bite anyway, hence why I’m popping the minnow back to me. Kinda like a jig, but live bait has the smell as well. Thanks for watching! God bless!

Curious about the body of water you are on ? I live in the north east corner of Texas and live within 5 miles of Wright Patman Lake. I haven’t had much luck or opportunity to fish after here after retiring from working 20 years in Alaska. Before I left Texas, I practically lived at the spillway or on the lake.

Live bait is one thing, but try that with artificial lures, like grubs , paddle tails ect. I would subscribe, but I live in the North East U.S. , I do not see much information that would be helpful for me. Thank you just the same

How are the lake levels in your area? Here where im at lake levels are so low almost all docks are out of the water and many parts of the lake are completely dried up. You coukd walk cross where there used to be water. Im in the fort worth area. We need rain so bad. Its ao difficult to even find a plsce that has deep enough water to even fish at all except for a few places.

Minnows are what they naturally eat, it’s going to scientifically be the best bait there is, natural forage. Yes jigs catch fish, but not at the rate as minnows. And it depends on the season as well. Thanks for watching! God bless!
