I love your content man! It's good to hear raw truths. The stuff that everyone seems to gleam over. I have my own ambitions but one of your videos caught my attention. It was about keeping pace with technology. Since then, I've made a habit of submitting code once a day and not recreating the wheel. The only thing I spend sufficient time on is future-proofing and scalability.
I totally understand when a TH-camr has beef with another TH-camr, but since when do we ever get to see a TH-camr have beef with a huge tech company LOL

I am a computer engineering student at University of Houston with 7 years of complex CNC Programming experience. I’ve already received job offers from Space X and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. I really appreciate your videos. I even appreciate your political views. Imagine working on a job where you can be yourself, you need to have a fake persona to comply with all the pro-minority events, all performance "posts" and bullshit that comes with it. You can't focus on the job (even if its motivating and interesting) just because of HR / Management wants to pass the view of a "big company that works like a family".

This makes me so happy to be a dev at a small yet fast growing startup. It just feels like the code you ship has a lot more purpose. The small teams cuts the bureaucracy and time consuming externalities as well.
Watching all his videos and seeing his life unfold at TH-cam, then Google, then Facebook, makes me understand that Facebook always breaks family, whether using it or as working there as a software engineer...
The Political atmosphere definitely looks like a huge turn off. Any company who's culture basically requires you to have a specific political tilt to fit in; or from what I can tell at FB, - even be able to be yourself at all without the fear of termination; is about a half step away from being a cult.

Always, it's pleasure listening to your video clips. Absolutely right about political sector, especially in big corporations. Everyone claims their rights and victimize themselves, instead of getting together, and forget for the moment about the color, sex orientation, religion, disability. I worked in IT support on site covering 4,000 desk users, laptop users in a large customer site which happened to be a UK bank. I noticed that the banking staff were duplicating work either knowingly or not. Many people were given project work that made no sense and when they consulted colleagues they found similar stories. I also noticed that they were importing over 75% of their IT developers from India and had done so for over 20 years. If they stick you in a desk and all your colleagues are spread across the country then you are compartmentalized but when you see it from a bird's eye view .... WOW.
