Hi Nick. I enjoyed this review as I am the same height and inside leg. Haven’t test ridden this yet but my local dealer gets test bikes in February. I would love a Triumph Speedmaster but can’t ignore that this just as nice and is basically half the price. Also Triumph suspension isn’t great either. I have a T120 and the rear shocks are poor. Methinks Hagon is calling. If I do go for a SM I will add Hagon rear shocks and a DNA filter, and possibly better tyres though interested that you find CEAT ok. Lots of reviews suggest they are a bit slippery, but then they are test riding whereas you speak as a former owner. Regards
Hi, the tyres are fine if you ride the bike how it’s intended. It’s not a face bike so I don’t expect insane grip. They haven’t made me feel uneasy on any occasion whilst riding on my interceptor when I had it and I used that daily. This bike is half the price of the triumph but not half the bike
Thanks. I agree. What has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons is that my local Triumph dealer has a 2023 Speedmaster with zero miles for £2k less than a 2025 with mid controls. Hmm!
Great review Nick, I’ve got an interceptor and I think that’s got enough power, good to hear you think the same about this engine considering some of the faster bikes you’ve owned and reviewed. 👍
Hi great video not sure if you ans but are the nuts and bolts ally or chrome I usually change all nuts and bolts to stop furing up as there a bugger to keep looking pristine kind regards Steve
Sadly everytime I think of buying an Enfield, they start breaking chasis again. News came in of two chasis breaking (look it up) of the new Himalayan adv, ON NORMAL ROADS! It was supposed to be robust! So yea. Would be going with nx500 Honda. Charm and everything is fine but I want a bulletproof motorcycle when I'm in the middle of nowhere.
I went to my local dealer on an open day to try the Hunter and was then offered a ride on one of these. I didn’t expect to like it but it was great apart from the rear suspension. So it’s a choice between this or the sensible Honda NC.
@@NickandJodie I don’t much like the look of it. Perhaps like the SM it will look better in the flesh. I intend going to have a look at the new Himalayan 450.
I took this out for a test ride and really wanted to like it. Everything you say is OK, but the suspension is your backbone. You're young OK. You aren't young...nope
@@NickandJodie ...Maybe on THIS model. On the Interceptor it is pretty good ! - and I'm from NO-WAY - where many of the roads are, almost like Russians ! The suspension of the Interceptor is better than on the Guzzi V7 / V9 ( 2021-22 ....didn't try the newest ) !
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 A great clip ‼‼- makes you want to run to the dealer .... 😀😀 And I'm sure, if I was hanging around the paces where these bike are, easily, available, I'd buy the whole bunch of them ! They, really, ARE nice 🤷♂🤷♂‼
Good motor on there Nick. I`m thinking about getting a Shotgun to compliment my Classic 350. Will probably test ride one and a Super Meteor, to see which suits me best. Say Hi to Jodie from me 😊
@@NickandJodie That` interesting. When the Shotgun first came out, I wasn`t that interested but I have watched a few reviews and it is growing on me. Thanks Nick.
The shotgun was much better because there’s a better riding position although the forward controls are great, but it does put a lot of pressure on your backside
Back Breaker if got bad back so Shotgun be better for your back if have back issues.Pity the Interceptor Dark model come with the Showa forks too like Super Meteor & Shotgun. Also no ugly cast steel bits like on Interceptor.
I have super Meteor 650. The left side engine noise is slight more than the right side of the engine.I have enquired in 2-3 service centres and they are saying that it is normal and they have adjusted the tappet too but still the problem exists. What will i do sir? Please reply.
You are more than likely hearing you clutch basket rattling, its nothing to be concerned about. It will get LOT worse before any breakdowns will happen. My suggestion is buy a louder exhaust haha. Have fun and enjoy your machine! ride safe
@@NickandJodie no sold that a about 9 months ago, then had a short stint on a Benelli TNT125, then one day my wife said I should get something a little bigger, so KTM got my money the next day😁
Owned the super meteor for about six months…not the biggest fan ….not in love with the looks and heavy and slow…will trade in for the cf moto clc this fall…they are stocked everywhere cause they’re not selling great
I bought one in November. I Love it. The rear suspension gets softer the more you ride it. I ride solo on the second preload setting
Thanks for sharing
Another good video, Nick
Thanks 🙏
Gorgeous bike, and lovely sound from that exhaust
I have your exact same bike. The forward controls are extremely comfortable and the bike is easy on the eyes.
Lovely machine

Too much choice ! Good luck 😉
Great review nick It looks amazing and I think these days u do need value for money.
Totally agree
Airhawk or equivalent makes the seat far more comfortable.
Super 👌
nicks episode did mention another seat brand, we could not understand. Which is best seat?
Did contemplate one of these before buying my Tracer :D
great value for money

They are stainless and wont rust

Have you tried the shotgun ?

Just to be pedantic, no such thing as a Meteor 650. There is the Meteor 350 or the Super Meteor 650.
Thanks that’s super 👌
I call mine just 'the Meteor' 😱

How many miles has your super meteor covered? What is your current climate? what grade oil are you using?
@@NickandJodie 3600 miles covered. I live in india so a mixture of hot and cold. I use Royal Enfield recommend liquid gun 10w-50 oil

I wish they would make a bike in the 1300cc class, thats what I would buy. until then, I guess I'm dreaming.
It would be rather heavy though. Give one a try, the 650 is a peachy engine
These will sell well I reckon, but that style isn’t for me, not enough plastic involved😵💫
i test rode a 701 last weekend, what can I say,. wheelie good fun
I’m Picking up a new KTM 390 Duke tomorrow. Single cylinders do it for me😀
Don’t you have your Husqvarna anymore

The meteor is the 350. The Super Meteor is the 650.
It’s not something that rolled off of my tongue when filming but I understand what you are saying.
