What annoys me is the captain abandoning the ship just a minute after the explosion when she could still be saved, he just instantly gave up. But in a later scene, he sits in the lifeboat saying “what a waste.” But it’s like, if you actually tried saving it, it wouldn’t be a waste. Also his name is wrong in the film. They call him Barrett, but his real name was Bartlett
Here’s a good idea: a Britannic movie surrounding the engineers They were down in the lower decks until the ship was in its final 5 or so minutes and were the last to leave. You could have a rich story from that while remaining historically accurate The issue with a Violet Jessop movie is that she left in the 4th boat, how does the story continue past that? It simply can’t.
If that is true, the list must have been very far towards starboard at that point in the final 5 minutes. I wonder how it was for them to navigate out of the ship.
If I were in charge of this I’d make a fictional ship or perhaps make it take place on land also I was the original person who made the comment so thanks for featuring

Maybe even have a inserted character who oversaw her construction, a Thomas Andrews type character and be there to communicate her importance to the viewer. But when I watched the movie from start to finish when I was 10 I have hated it ever since. This is just about a ship named HMHS Britannic and the route it was travelling in November 1916. In that case the lifeboat would have drifted past them and the two would have been dragged into the propeller.

I don’t hate the Britannic movie. But I do understand why people hate the film. It’s incredibly inaccurate, the CGI is not great, the love story is so random and just comes out of nowhere (including that scene where Vera… you know), I will even say it actually starts to look like a rip-off to James Cameron's Titanic when the ship starts to sink. And Reynolds “sacrifice” was completely unnecessary and ridiculous. But despite all this, I think the Britannic movie is fine. Yes, it has a LOT of problems. But there are a couple good things to come from this movie. Like the theme song. This movie may not be great, but at least it’s better than those awful animated Titanic movies.
The film gives one the impression that Townsand was Captain Bartlett’s second in command. In reality this was not the case. Townsand was indeed a fictional character. Britannic’s real first officer was Hugh John Hollingsworth and he was not second in command giving Britannic officers were set up differently Titanic. Hollingsworth would have been outranked by the Assistant Commander Harry William Dyke and by Robert Hume who was Chief Officer. The rank of Assistant commander was something that was absent on Titanic but Lusitania had a rank of Staff Captain. Not sure if this would be the same as Assistant commander. I used to love this film a lot but I was still a kid when it came out so I was looking at it with Nostalgia goggles on you can say. As an adult I can look at it in a different light. The only value the film has for me personally is pure childhood nostalgia and nothing more. I can still enjoy Titanic and a more recent film Midway.
