It's also a region thing. Hocus Pocus is not doing well here in Europe at least in France, neither is the Viking village, but insects will grow, for sure, so unique ! JAWS is kinda for older people so that's the wild card for me here in France.
Viking village will go for minimum 210$ because of piece count and if you are getting them for 110$ seems like an easy 100$ I have 4 of them already and will probably get more I am not concerned about other people loading up on them I think it is a great set and parts pack. The Insects set was one of my favourite builds so far and I do want to pick up a few more copies I think it is a good one to grab just to qualify for some of the low requirement GWPs.
The Jaws set will be a winner. The Sanderson house if you can get at least 30% off. Insect collection I just do not know, insects? Viking village I already bought 5 when I saw it for 30% off, 2000 pieces for 90 smackers, I am in.
Hello there, new to reselling and have been watching your videos. I have picked up about 10-12 rather expensive sets, and some lower priced ones. Would love to chat with you about the larger ones I've to purchased, and how long to hold them for. Thank you!
Hi your channel is awesome. I've been collecting again since June after sadly having to sell my collection 3 years ago , this time I'm collecting and investing. Is it OK to ask where to look for sales history graphs ? Any guidance is appreciated
Jim, what is the website that you are refering to when showing the diagram of the high and low prices a LEGO set sells ? As far as I can understand it is something like camel3x ?
The twilight house was a quality design, it looked classy. You might not have been in any way interested in Twilight but that house looked quality. Lego took an almost perfect design and after two years hard work gave us a tiny off looking shed, they well and truly Legoed that great design. I cannot work it out, how do you take a great design and two years and create a total piece of poo. All they had to do was do the design people voted for, no changes, just take the original design and make it a set.
02:12 Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge Jaws fan. It’s one of my desert island films (like desert island discs-top films you would take to a desert island) but not a fan of the set. I think the original idea was better than the set, and the shark sucks. I built a much bigger and better shark using a load of the 3in1 shark sets. Much cheaper than getting the set- I’m not really into minifigure scale stuff aside from the odd UCS build.
The jaws set and insect set, while unique, but I don't think will go big, I see some of the older retire village sets, but think it might hit 10-15 over retail, but not big gains. but getting a couple of them will pay off, However the Sanderson Sisters house, if you had $5000 to burn on a long term investment, I'd get the 21 Hocus Pocus sets. Definitely going to pay off, If you can get the Viking set for $100, I'd get as many as you could walk away with though, Expect that to go to near $200 on retire,
I have the insect collection in my personal collection. It was a fun build with my kids (one insect for each of us)!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

I hope you're right!
I love the insect set. I feel like the botanicals buyers is the prime market for these.
Bingo!

Has there been any correlation between the amount of alternate builds available on rebrickable to the aftermarket price?
Interesting question! I don't believe resellers thing that deep into it.
@@wolfofbricks Yeah Viking Village has 4 or 5 expansions and each one requires the purchase of another set. Maybe that might give it some extra value?
