- White House national security spokesperson John Kirby held a press briefing on Tuesday where he made clear that US support for Israel is unquestionable but at this moment they’re focusing on delivering aid into Gaza. He said, the president is considering maritime options to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The time for talking and no action is long over. Where are the US aid trucks that could get humanitarian aid in safely and in sufficient quantities? Instead, the US continues to supply the bombs and missiles being used for the brutal military campaign on a defenseless Palestinian civilian population. It has repeatedly vetoed UN ceasefire calls and has also cut off its funding to UNRWA for humanitarian relief in Gaza. Surely this is not helping the current desperate situation nor indeed the preservation of international order, justice and human rights?
