Japanese isn't the easiest to translate because some terms change based on what context the statement takes, somethings translate without any actual meaning in the English language and vice versa
That's how translation works, especially when adapting for actual performance. Subs can provide a more literal version, but when you have to match beats, it won't work as well. Whether you like it or not, it's a neccesstiy.
I'm guessing since the original song was in Japanese, the words won't rhymes when it is translated into English. So people changes the words to make them rhyme. I hope that makes sence.

This sounds great, but why are there so many different translations of the lyrics?
Japanese isn't the easiest to translate because some terms change based on what context the statement takes, somethings translate without any actual meaning in the English language and vice versa
Furthering what Chance was saying, it depends greatly on the artist also making the song and how they want the lyrics to flow
That's how translation works, especially when adapting for actual performance. Subs can provide a more literal version, but when you have to match beats, it won't work as well.
Whether you like it or not, it's a neccesstiy.
I'm guessing since the original song was in Japanese, the words won't rhymes when it is translated into English. So people changes the words to make them rhyme. I hope that makes sence.
It also why People complain about dubs because some people prefer direct translation
