Usually, they would go through the effort of having them write down some bogus super long confirmation code # or ask them to look at their router for some dumb reason as a distraction. But all this idiot could come up with is "please go to your living room". 😂

As an attorney, I am tickled by how little the scammer's conception of how the courts work comports with reality. Like, they already know what the court costs and fines will be? They act as both the judge and prosecutor, they say that you can avoid charges by paying money for a case that has presumably already been filed, before its had a hearing? An officer is on their way to arrest you but he'll stop if you give us gift cards? No judge's order? Or my favorite, we're charging you with some very serious criminal charges, we also know you're innocent, but you still have to pay us money for some reason.... Also, you will never, never, never, ever find out about a lawsuit filed against you via phone call. You'll be served in person or possibly find out by mail. As a sidebar, if our criminal courts could resolve an entire criminal matter start to finish in a single phone call that would be both a model of extreme efficiency and likely a horrible breach of due process.
I also worked at the Australian Federal Court as a court officer, sitting in with our judges, recording evidence exhibits, etc. This is the biggest load of shit that I have ever heard. As you know, filings, discoveries and other necessary paperwork takes months just to have a court date listed. What a laugh, it’s so sad that people fall for this disgusting crap.

I just learned that my grandpa used to practice time-wasting whenever he got a call from a scammer or telemarketer. He'd get them talking about their families, and if he ever had to end the call, he'd say "God bless you" and hang up. I'm so proud. :)
I'm a granny and if I had time I did this once they asked me to speak English as I have a Scottish accent so I then answered with a heavy Scottish accent and they hung up pretty quickly.
I answer all my calls with " Hello Federal Police-with a tough voice " no matter if Mums name is on the screen lol . Even at work I do this . When I have to call my offsiders I say Its State Lotteries here ... Everyone knows it is me from name display on their screen

Just had a horrible call from "the amazon"
I kept her on the phone as long as I could without giving them access to my phone or computer.
She was ranting and raving at me, calling me all sorts. Thank goodness I didn't have it on speakerphone, I have my two youngest here at home. I blocked the number and reported it online. I'm actually a little shaken up. She was so nasty.
Thank you Kitboga for what you do. These guys need stopping. If everyone knows it's a scam, they cannot get away with it. But no doubt they will come back with a new scam, another angle. Horrid.
But they will always want gift cards, so it doesn't matter how creative they get. As soon as gift cards are mentioned, the alarm bells should ring, That's the thing that needs to be hammered into peoples' minds.
until they get rid of their accents i think its pretty easy to tell whos a scammer... the scariest scammer was the american guy talking about how the persons grandson got into an accident and is being charged with dui and went on this long convincing act as the public defender. that was scary because i can see many people falling for that one. americans need to learn to not trust strangers on the phone. especially if a foreign accent.
@@piffdaddy420 Unfortunately, the Australian government has farmed out their social security calls to Indian call centres. And of course, given the profits to be made in that country by selling people's information, they have handed them a goldmine. It only takes one bad person to sell the info. And many companies world wide still use Indian call centres. Everyone should boycott Indian call centres and goods until their government takes proper action to wipe them out.

I love how you get so into it and get tickled at the scammers lol I deliver for FedEx and I'm in a truck 10 hours alone, you bring me so much laughter.
I can't stop laughing when Milton drove away with the gift cards and the scammers really believed it. But then I get upset again upon realizing that the scammer clearly wouldn't even care that someone got robbed (and was prepared to make the victim spend another $2500).
