I am new to Vitamin C this fall/winter. Just tried the Loreal 12% and Skinceuticals 15 %. Neither one gave me irritation. I actually felt like the Loreal made my skin a lot brighter than the Skinceuticals. My question is about going up to 20%. Did you work your way up through using lower percentages? I might buy the 20% since most of the good reviews are for that one.
I'm dry and Skin Actives is by far the best for dry skin. NO smell at all. Gorgeous consistency and their whole line is spectacular. A serum I can't wait to apply.
Great review! I'm looking for a good vit c. Some of them are so expensive!! Or hard (or more expensive) to buy in Canada. I may try the DE. How is it with skin that leans oily? Right now I'm trying the neostrata 15 percent one. It's ok, but irritatres my skin a little.
Thank you!! The DE one is hydrating and I would say it would be fine for oily skin. I have combination skin and feel as though this serum works well without leaving my skin greasy. Of course, we are all different
Someone else mentioned this to me a little while ago and I asked my pharmacy twice and my Derm's office and they said no this isn't happening. Where are you hearing this? I really hope this isn't true 🥴
I’ve been using the Timeless 20% for a couple of years or more. It’s just as good to me as the expensive Skinceuticals which I’ve also used. But the leakage issue with Timeless Vitamin C is ridiculous. I actually took a video showing it dripping out the bottom of the bottle & sent it to Timeless. I poured the leaked product into a dark brown glass dropper bottle. Still waiting for Timeless to address this satisfactorily with me. All that said, do like the product….just not the waste & hassle!
I love the maelove glowmaker. I like timeless but last time i ordered it from amazon, after 2 weeks they said they had supply problems so i never got it!
Is Amazon an authorized retailer for Timeless? I sometimes don't trust Amazon as products can be sold by third parties and the products are either expired or not legit. If you can, it's best to purchase from Timeless for guaranteed freshness.
Last year, my skin reacted badly to Timeless 20% l-ascorbic acid. The Maelove Glow Maker did not irritate my skin, and it helped with firmness. None of these vitamin Cs touch my hyperpigmentation. However, tretinoin has helped my dark areas.
Tretinoin is the absolute best for fading hyperpigmentation and I feel like it works the quickest. Depending on the type of hyperpigmentation and how long it's been there, Vitamin C can take a while to work but it still does a good job to brighten the complexion.

My skin absolutely loves Timeless 10% Vitamin C. Tried Maelove, it’s crap.
Do u mix the Drunk Elephant with Protini I got them in a kit with the Bronze drops and the Lactic Acid 🤍🤍🤍
I keep the Vitamin C separate from Protini but I know Drunk Elephant is big on mixing and creating cocktails with their products.
Neutrogena and RoC have 20% ascorbic acid capsules that are great for sensitive skin… they feel more like a moisturizer
