My little boy died at 15 this year....I'm still dying a little at a time....I miss him so; this reminded me so muklch of him especially all that "snappin" my guy was tough and didn't like someone grooming him....he did but was always funning around. I be glad when I die, he might be there at the rainbow bridge.
Curtis Rushing yes, I feel your pain, I lost my first Welsh boy 2 years ago, he was 16. Long time to have a good buddy around, we still miss him every day. Hopefully they are at that bridge waiting for us.
So funny watching the power struggle between you and the dog! My 5 year old welsh boy is pretty good with grooming until I try to finesse his head/face. It's almost impossible.
I just got a Welsh Terrier miniature schnauzer cross today, she's ADORABLE and so tiny. Need to gen up on this stuff as I'd like to groom her instead of taking her somewhere
It'd be nice if you lose the music and have communication with the audience on what size blade and why you doing this and how you doing that just saying
Fernando Bedoya Yes we know, but not everyone has the time, and not every dog has the patience. A good clipping is an acceptable way of taking care of the dog's grooming, keeping him feeling and looking good.
Welshie owner here! You can do either. Hand-stripping keeps the coat super wirey and the colors vibrant. But it honestly depends on the dog and the owner. Not all dogs can handle hand-stripping. Mine is a little monster. I can't even brush him without a fight so hand-stripping is out of the question
Ironic that this is called “Gentle Grooming”. If one of my employees handled a dog like that they’d be fired on the spot! How’s about you give him a heads up on where you’re going to grab him next?
I did not find this helpful at all - you couldn't see the whole side of the dog done first, there was no commentary to describe why what was being done, and when it was finally added, the purple text was hard to read, especially when the status bar at the bottom of the screen was present. It might have made the dog less of a grump if the groomer had talked to her while she was working!
Looks like you are out of your cottonpicking mind. You are supposed to be showing how to groom a Welsh terrier but crazy music and jerky moves you make are ....oh well

Sorry for your loss I loss mine this August he was 14 it still hurts
We had our 14 year old put to sleep yesterday. Our hearts are absolutely breaking.
This is so much like my little buddy, I have a great groomer but Gus hates anyone messing with his feet and will bite at a blow drier.

Stripping is the best option in wire haired breeds, even if the dog is a pet (not a dog show).

I agree, electric clippers ruins the rough Welshie coat.
I did hand stripping&plucking on my irish terrier yes it looks good but it not worth doing.A nice 7f of 5f is great.

Welsh Terriers are over groomed, their natural look is much better
