Thanks for a very helpful video. I’m an owner. I hand stripped my pet (not show) wire fox terrier for nine years, but have now been using a mix of stripping on the darker parts and clipping on the white. No, it’s not for the purist, but the 11-year-old dog is happier with less time being restrained, and it’s easier on my hands.

The welsh your trimming remained so calm and looks great. Our welsh terrier is now 12 weeks old. When do you start trimming. Also what is the name of the cordless trimmer you are using?

I think it is shameful that so many groomers are shaving these wire coats and being praised for it!!
It’s a matter of choice and practicality
It’s on the owner, not the groomer. Hand stripping is a specialty that most pet owners are not interested in committing to.
The scissors are not rounded at the ends. If the dog moved would loose an eye.
Were the eye lashes cut ?
