It’s crazy how quest 3 does a lot of things better and only a few things worse. In all likelihood of someone dropped $3500 on apple they wouldn’t want to upgrade soon and would want to get the full value of it. With quest 3 you get a great experience for 500 and in 3 years you get another upgrade.
I'd say just get a Quest 3 or a Quest pro and save yourself a boat full of money, they do most if not damn near all this thing does at a considerably lower price point, hell you could even get a Quest 2 and start with that one and it does most of what this does!!!...
I'm as big as a skeptic as anyone, but wearable tech has an obvious benefit of free range of movement and unrestricted use of your hands and vision. There are obvious limitations now, but the potential is there. The apple watch and airpods have developed into wonderful devices
My Oculus Quest 2 or META 3 can quickly connect to my PC for DVS WORLD. Apple really missed a huge opportunity here. This thing should be readily connectable to XBOX, PS5 and PC.
For right now, it's not worth $3500. In the future, Apple might make something cheaper, And Meta or Samsung will catch up with even cheaper price. It's basically Mac on your face, and most people avoid Mac unless they are deeply into Apple ecosystem.
And Apple might have a problem with headset and their glass cracking for no reason at all and all of the headsets glass are cracking is the same place so be careful of you get one

If you don't take price into account it's probably an 8. If you take other VR glasses into account a 6.5. With pricing included a solid -25.
