My tip for lowering springs that keep a lot of drifting Komfort would be 30 to 40 mm Eibach, H&R or ST Lowering springs. Greatings from Germany keep the videos coming
Im about to tackle this job on my is300 with a 1jz gte vvti i have a gt3076r setup with a modified stock manifold and tial wastegate this made me a bit more confident that i can accomplish it im going to flux core my downpipe to my current 3 inch setup we shall see how it goes 😀
Mike, put some kind of heat shield between the drain and the manifold, after some highway driving it will melt. Because of that the OEM drains are always hardline.
Mike you should look into getting the fire sleeve to protect the all the lines routed by the manifold. They are just that extra peace of mind and cheap if they do move they wont melt. Just my .2, great looking car!
Look into ST Coilovers, i had them on my 2004 audi a4 and it rode great not much stiffer than stock, plenty of adjustability and it was extremely smooth. highly recommend them dont think they are too expensive either!

Get coilovers. I used to have an A3 and A4 avant and I had lowering springs on one and was honestly too stiff and didn’t sit right. Regretted it and bought coilovers the next week and rode WAY better and had a better stance. The springs rode like stock until I’d hit big bumps in the road and hit really hard. The coilovers ride like stock and are way smoother over big bumps in the road. Just get some decent brand new coils and you won’t regret it unlike you might if you buy lowering springs
Also get a dsg tune right away makes a big difference and way nicer. I’ve never had a dsg or auto but my friend had a mk5 R32 and the dsg tune made a big difference.

That being said, I honestly haven't been watching your channel the past couple months because of one complaint (which I actually don't see as much in this video) and that is: Way too much of your talking head. I generally start your video and scrub through it. If I see that half of the video is your face, I don't watch the rest. Nothing against your face, you're a good lookin dude, but that's not what I'm watching automotive TH-cam channels for. I liked this video because...well, Jimmy's channel is my favorite car channel on TH-cam. It's mostly hands-on stuff, and the guys around him are hilarious (your crew is pretty funny too when I think back to the Outback shenanigans lol)
I have exact same soarer. lowering springs is a waste of your time. coilovers are night and day difference for ride quality. spend the extra money and get some coilovers.
You don’t see me working on the car because All the clips in the video are filmed by me lol, I can’t be in two places at once. Unless I’m in a time lapse working on it or holding the camera and working on the car at the same time which suuuuucks to do, you won’t see me working on it much. That and jimmy just loves lending a hand all the time

Make sure to use only OEM dsg fluid. None of the liqui moly or other “high end” stuff
If you go springs you should definitely go with vogtland springs. They go lower than any other set out there
