Taylor Earlhart is a favourite character of mine because of the complexity of Cole and Taylor's relationship as rangers. Taylor became a Ranger LONG Before Cole Came into the frame.
The instant morph was being done since Power rangers Turbo. Hell the very first instant morph was done in Mighty Morphin season 1 when the rangers de-transformed. It's the evolution of practical effects and CGI. And Kamen rider had been doing more since 1999. Making every transformation in real time. At this point its simply tradition to have sequences.
The Morpher thing always bothered me as a kid. I was like "the morphers are the rangers? The morphers become people? Or are the rangers turning into the morphers that turn into rangers?"
To me it was always like a conduit. The call was to channel the power to the phone, and when they put it to their ears the power goes to them, kinda makes sense because Gao is onomatopoeia for beast roars in Japanese. The morpher thing was just kinda a visualization of how they transfer the power n suits to the rangers.

When Disney bought Power Rangers, they were initially going to end the show with "Wild Force", and just air it in reruns like most of the other Saban shows they purchased, hence the title "The End of The Power Rangers".
Im really happy that i found someone online from pr fandom giving attention to details in the morphing sequences even more than i did as a kid much respect bro 👏
Wild Force was my favourite season. It’s the one I remember the most watching and it had my all time favourite Power Ranger in Merrick. And my all time favourite episode in Forever Red.
honestly the direct adaptations work pretty well imo. I grew up on this era, so to me Power Rangers are isolated stories-different teams across time and storage fighting with the same goal: protecting people and saving the world
This was cool. So happy someone gave Wild Force some love. And your opening theme being of my favorite Rider and one of my favorite Sentai was awesome ❤
Wild force had the red ranger get amnesia, take the jungle sword and star wailing on the bad guy when it was supposed to be a team finishing move, that sequence was hilarious. Also zenakus theme on the flute is amazing.
Bro I hate when ppl say WildForce was a Disney season. I get it. But it was clearly done in the same manner that the previous 4 seasons of the show were. Production style, score, tone, etc….

Wild Force got me into the PR when it started airing on my country's Cartoon Network. It wasn't my favorite season (Ninja Storm was) but I for sure got hooked by the animal theme, the fights, Megazords etc. Definitely grateful that it came in to my life
Honestly, Wild Force was the 1st Power Rangers I saw as a kid. I was like 4 or 5 when I first heard of anything from the franchise. I loved Power Rangers back then, with Wild Force as my introduction, Ninja Storm probably being my actual favorite, and Dino Thunder having a PS2 I loved to play back in the day.
I actually like the morphs that take one frame. Sure, the Morphing Sequence can be hype, but sometimes you just want to get right into the action. Also, in one of the Gokaiger movies, it's explained that the morph takes hundredths of a second to do, so I would assume that other Sentai and PR morphs are roughly the same.
Ahhh, you’re referring to the movie Gokaiger vs Gavan. In the final showdown against the MotW, a narrator explains (for no reason, maybe a callback to early Sentai/Metal Hero series 🤷🏾♂️) the time it takes for Gavan to “morph”, then right after, explains the Gokaigers morph time. A strange but nice sequence. (Also, in said movie, I love the team color-matched Gokai Changes)
The lead producer for this show was also just an advocate for not changing the show as it was adapted form super sentai to power rangers. The same producer also helmed Samurai and did the same thing of barely to not at all changing the show during adaptation.
Wild Force is the Power Rangers series that got me back into Power Rangers after I'd been absent from the franchise since the beginning of In Space due to it not airing on Canadian channels anymore (only on Fox Kids) by that point. I missed most of Wild Force, but had found out that Forever Red was coming on and that both Jason David Frank AND Austin St. John were returning as Tommy (Zeo Ranger V Red) and Jason (Red Mighty Morphin Ranger). And then the Canadian channel it was on, Family Channel, began airing reruns of Lightspeed Rescue and Wild Force, while airing new episodes of Ninja Storm, and I ended up watching all of the reruns of both shows, and enjoyed both. I haven't seen Wild Force in over 20 years (I have it on DVD) and I completely forgot about that weird morphing sequence in "The End of the Power Rangers Part 1".
For me, that series that got me back in was Dino Thunder. It was the perfect season to restart on too, because it was a fantastic homage to the original Mighty Morphin era, complete with Tommy Oliver and everything. Before that, the last season I watched was probably Wildforce actually. But I was skipping around with it all.

Wild Force is my favourite Power Rangers series! First one I watched as a kid, what got me into Power Rangers and I think theres so much good about it! Forever Red episode superb, the opening theme is great, and the logo, Princess Shayla and her song with Merrick, the Red Rangers parents story with Master Org, and I liked how they used the climate change and environmental impacts for Kite in the episodes. Oh, and I did like that episode with Kite, Taylor and Max going to the rides 😅
Nearly a 1 to 1? Yes I've seen both, and there is minor differences like the red ranger being a veterinarian instead of a jungle boy, the white one defying her father to study martial arts and surpass him, instead of biology to become a teacher and follow her own path, and there was no human turning into an org. But it was really good. Even the anniversary episode was similar. They showed all red rangers together, but in gaoranger the team does fight and they learn about past heroes in the development of the special. I watched it as a teen and I liked it. Isn’t Wild Force considered one of the only truer adaptations? Correct me if I’m wrong but Wild Force was actually a near perfect “1 to 1” of Gaoranger. Yes it has its Americanized filler but the story was rather close to its predecessor. Gao literally means wild or sometimes roar in Japanese, overall Wild Force as corny as it was (I mean that lightly) still holds up relatively well. Great video! Also I’d love to know why you’re a ToQger fan and if you have any thoughts on Lupinranger VS Patoranger
I'm wondering if that theme song they used for the Time Force promo was originally intended to open the show? I swear I heard it in some old Fox Kids bumpers.
I think I heard it was made in the hopes that it would be the Wild Force theme, but then something about Disney not wanting to pay royalties forced them to make the one we got.
Gao Rock, the turtle-shaped "ship" in Gaoranger, was also never seen on WFR and was replaced by the "Animarium" or the floating beast island in Gaoranger.
Years later, Dino Charge would show up with a near-identical morphing sequence to Kyoryuger (they skipped the little dance the Kyoryuger team did before they morphed though, which is pretty sad IMO but whatever)
Imo Power Rangers should’ve ended with Wild Force. You couldn’t top the Forever Red episode. Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder (the last two seasons I watched) were okay but just didn’t have that same feel as previous seasons, maybe it was Disney effect?, I don’t know. My era of Power Rangers was from Lightspeed Rescue (2000) to Dino Thunder (2004), but they did show re runs of Mighty Morphin (93 to 95) to Lost Galaxy (99). So when I was young I basically got to see all Power Rangers seasons from Mighty Morphin to Dino Thunder (I like to call that era the classic era of Power Rangers, as everything after Dino Thunder doesn’t count to me). All these years and their morphing sequence and suits still rank as my all time favourite 😂 There are better seasons out there but I just really loved the animal theme, and I loved that the Wild Zords are alive and the rangers are shown to have a bond with their primary Zord, though I wish they showed all of them talking to and hanging out with their Zords more, not just Cole and the lion.
I fucking love wild force, It's so awesome.. Especially since it was my first power rangers and I had the battlizer action figure as a kid.. Even had one of the morphers because I have always thought the morph is awesome

When I was a kid, wild force was the one pr season I watched almost 100% (didn't have internet). I loved it so much that I wanted the dx megazord or the kongzord but my parents obviously couldn't afford it. Now that I have work, I can't afford it either haha.
I remember for my birthday one year I got the wolf ranger figure that could change into the wolf zord…… there was also a big ass cicada on the porch that scared everyone at the party and my step dad beat it with a broom
Definitely getting the impression that Disney buying Power Rangers messed with production, resulting in stuff like the story having a hefty (not as much as Samurai, but still) amount lifted elements from the source material and the morph sequence just being the Sentai one with the American actor’s heads slapped on in post. And there was a new morph in the finale? I do not remember that, probably because of me being a dumb kid. And is it me or did the spinning helmet shot from said finale morph match up a bit with a similar shot from the promo at the end of Time Force? I’m getting the impression that the finale morph was what they intended to make from the start, but due to the production issues caused by Disney buying PR they couldn’t finish the morph until the finale and had to resort to what was used in most of the show.

Wild Force may not have been the best season, but it definitely had one of, if not the greatest episode of all time with Forever Red
Zeo's sequence is also copy paste in a very similar manner

Princess Shayla is really beautiful
