Oh man first and foremost, it has been so nice to be able to sit back and catch up on your videos. It's always a lot of fun listening to you crack jokes and break things down and give your take. You have such great energy for all your videos! I've had a blast listening to you discuss my favorite season along with Dino Thunder crossover like it's legit been one of the highlights of my week

No Dominic(Rhino ranger)?

I'd say this was Tyzonn erasure, but the best thing he did was give us the badass Mercury Ranger suit that blew the rest of Operation Overdrive (IMO) out of the water. Really good video, in all seriousness. The Disney Era (Dino Thunder-RPM) were my childhood teams in real time, and to this day Trent's whole story (and the story of Anton Mercer) stick with me even after 20 years. Also worth mentioning that the Wind Academy Sensei goes on to play Colonel Truman in RPM, the father of that series' Red Ranger, and he's just as excellent there as he was in the brief appearance during Ninja Storm.

One thing I was never sure of with the White Ranger was after a while was it becoming more that the two personalities of Trent and the gem were merging as at first it seemed even when demorphed Trent was just the White Ranger talking but then it seemed the personalities were a merger of the two.

In my opinion dino thunder feels kinda rushed

Lothor was giving Mesogog them hands for most of their fight. And only so magic could take him out, just like with the Wind Rangers.

I gotta give props to Josh Martin. His performances might’ve been apparent when he first started, his performances got better as the season progressed, especially in episode 20. It seemed like he finally embodied Barney’s character rather than trying to mimic David Joyner’s mannerisms.

Sensei honoring his wife's last wish was very honorable. The fact that he never broke his promise is a mark of a samurai, not a ninja. She herself gave Cam the power and blessing to use it, and Sensi accepted it and change his ways to teach his son the same as the rangers.

6th Rangers don't have to be the 6th member, Trent, Nate, Steel, and Gemma are all 6th Rangers.

Man, I really loved the White Thunder trilogy (and the episodes that came after wards)! My naive self actually thought Trent is going to be an evil ranger through and through after he gave up fighting the negative effects.

RJ doesn’t count as an “Extra Ranger”

Both the white rangers of Abaranger and Dino Thunder are both great. Abaranger had him play a straight up villain until like 3 episodes before it ended, and then he joined the side of the rangers. And the dude actually dies as the Dino Guts kills him. Trent is a good kid at heart, and his fight for control, is a good parallel with his father/Mesogogg. Trent becomes the best hero he could be.

People say they get nerfed but by logic are also fighting the villains getting stronger as the season gets progressed. Not to mention, some actually do good all the way to the end without the other rangers. Talking about Shadow Ranger and Green Samurai Ranger. Or Trent was kicking ass as evil White Ranger but he wasn't in control and the Dino Rangers were progressing in fighting him too.

IF SOMEONE WERE TO TELL ME THAT THE WHITE DINO RANGER WAS THE *ONLY* EVIL RANGER THAT'S EVER EXISTED WITHIN THE FRANCHISE, I WOULD BELIEVE THEM, WHY DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT LOOK SO FUCKING EVIL?? (I know It's because Mesagog took the dino gem and pretty much made It that way and all) but my god...he's so cool looking. 😭😭 Okay glaze finished. 🥲😮‍💨

While I still think the Disney era is the best era of the show, I actually think its extra ranger plots are weaker than the Post-Zordon era. Mike, Ryan, Eric and Merrick all had far stronger plots.

It hits different in the Disney era for some reason

The one thing I don't particularly enjoy is how they described the Dark Ninja Powers Lothor was using at the time. Maybe after seeing so much Super Sentai with the Ninja concept I feel like they could have handled the arts Kya was using as forbidden ninja arts. Didn't think much of it before but coming to it now, it's just how I feel. It doesn't make it any better that there was no background to where he gained those powers as where he learned those those dark arts. While we got an origin for Lothar there was nothing else afterwards such as why he dove into those arts.

I am not a big fan of the strictly good/evil approach that Casey seemed to have in dealing with the kid. I mean just look at Jarod, he is dealing with harboring the spirit of Dai Shi, and his conflicting humanity. While using a black and white comparison for stealing the money to pay for the kite (since the kid just wanted the kite for selfish reasons), I find it to be not applicable in every situation.

The Hunter and Blake villain arc is the perfect definition of "when the super sentai is too dark so power rangers needs to change it" because there's no way they would ever put an abusive parent storyline in Power Rangers and the insinuation that one brother has to kill the other

I really appreciate the love that you and other TH-camrs have been giving to the Disney era of Power Rangers, particularly Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder and SPD recently. I had been out of the Power Rangers fandom since midway through Turbo, though I did pop back in for early episodes of In Space, and after Forever Red brought me back into it, Ninja Storm kept me in it. I missed the premiere, but then during March Break, or spring break as you know it as, the channel I watched it on here in Canada, aired the first five episodes in reruns, one episode a day for that whole week, and I was in the hospital, so I watched it every morning, and it hooked me to the point that every Saturday I'd get up early so I could catch the newest episode. I was already 16 when Ninja Storm started, but the writing, the characters, and the storytelling just kept me coming back for more. Which is something that Power Rangers hadn't done since 1997. So I'm glad that others are expressing their love for that era of the franchise now too.

I have 1 autograph from the show currently, Julie Johnson's. There is just something wonderfully special about this crew that even as adults, they can still trigger that wholesome feeling that their characters did when we were kids.
