Dustin was the FIRST one to successfully morph in the first episode. My favorite quote from him was “guess no ones laughing at the ‘comic book geek’ now”.
"No one makes a fool of me" was wild. Such a hard yet... obviously pain filled line And the way the rangers look while backing him up?? Yall ever notice the thunder rangers are seriously ride or die? Look at Hunters face during the reveal scene
This also happened with the blue ranger Nanami in Hurricanger. I'm glad they changed it to Dustin since he's more vulnerable, but both episodes hit hard. 😢
Hurricaneger’s is sadder because unlike Marah, Furabijo remained evil and ended up being killed off! I would’ve liked to see Marah’s counterpart redeem too!
Glenn McMillan had very big shoes to fill since he was the first main male yellow ranger of the series (yes, I'm aware that Tideus of the Alien Rangers is technically first, but that team wasn't the main team).
And that’s not including having a tough act to follow up in terms of yellow rangers period. The previous year, Wild Force’s Taylor was basically the closest we got to a Yellow team leader Not only was Glenn having to fill the big shoes you mentioned, but having to follow up the highly regarded Alyson Kiperman As it turned out, this was the start of a trend of great Disney era yellow rangers
This episode was low-key heartbreaking genuinely glen and Katrina were so good in this episode both characters are so adorable and sweet to each other that it makes me sad. Even that little scene where marah was low-key sad about having to do what she did to Dustin after showed how well the characters were developed.
It does make me happy that Kapri and Marah get redeemed later. Even when they crossover with the Dino Thunder later, Lothor returns and the two help against him, so they really became better people.
Man I wish she was actually turned good here instead of the final because she would’ve been a good help for the team and I hated what she did to my boy Dustin.
I'm so glad you posted this, when I watched Ninja Storm I felt Dustin really lacked screentime and development compared to everyone else, and it seems I missed this episode entirely. This is exactly what Dustin needed.
Dustin is definitely my favorite Ranger from Ninja Storm. I wish he would have come back in a further episode even past his appearance in Dino Thunder. Maybe have him and Marah be together.
I know in the end Mariah does turn good but it sucks she never apologized to Dustin for the treachery, though she does ask Cam if Dustin was still feeling some type of way later on
I swear the algorithm READS MINDS because I was just thinking about this episode yesterday evening! Now, here this video goes popping up in my recommended! Dustin got done so dirty by that evil niece!
I always resonated with Dustin because he loved comics and used them to push himself to be the first one to morph before Tori and Shane, and his pure ability to be vulnerable and strong and an amazing heart of a kid, of course I loved the others too, Shane was the leader and cool, Tori was the girl who could kick butt but also show compassion, but Dustin kind of occassionally stood out because of his character and pure genuineness. Seeming like an airhead but still lovable and has a good heart. Huh, Dustin might actually be my favorite now that I think about it haha 😄, go yellow 🟡🟨!
The problem I have with the "lesson" shown in this episode is that Marah actually became good... and Dustin did have the right instinct to trust her, As the Dino Thunder/Ninja Storm Crossover shows.
I like how the end of this series ultimately proves Dustin's instincts about Marah were correct. She does have good in her, she just still had some growing to do first. Man, I love Dustin so much. So glad this video popped up as a suggestion.
I think I've said it before, but I love these smaller breakdowns of moments people often overlook in their larger breakdowns of seasons. Keep up the great work!
The Disney era fr gave us some of the most memorable yellow rangers the series has to offer. Operation Overdrive might be the only season with a mid yellow ranger (and the whole team was mid so that’s not saying much)
@@AMV_KINGDOM_mvSeriously, it’s so bad that, when Linkara did History of the power rangers, after operation overdrive, annoying characters would be met with “Shut up, Dax!”
Ninja storm is pretty underrated. Maybe it’s because it was the first full Disney production whilst wild force was partial. It was also more light hearted and comedic which, after the drama of time force and wild force, might’ve been a bit of a whiplash. But it’s a very fun one with some very fun toys. And this is probably one of my favourite episodes from it. Dustin and Mara are precious until the reveal and dear lord Mara is twisting that serrated knife. It was nice to see she did feel conflicted later on about doing that to Dustin. Taking advantage of someone who’s very trusting is easy but the guilt can be immense. Kind of nice that she was concerned about him in the finale. But I think the message of the episode is a nuanced one for children and some adults; There are people out there that will take advantage of your trust. Especially those who make you do all the work to make them look good. However, just because it can happen doesn’t mean that you should no longer open up to people. The world is full of decent folks that’re just getting by. You just need to be aware of who you show compassion to and who wants to earn your trust, rather than those who demand it with their strongest defense being “trust me, bro”. Something that, with the redemption glut of the 2010’s, shows for children don’t really teach anymore.
Funny how you find a shut in girl that seems to be rejected by most of the people and u start caring for her, open her up to you for some days, even get out with you in the city like friends for a bit before anything...just for the next week tonjust run away everytime you would have time to talk to her telling you its nothing and just ghost you. Then she starts acting to anyone like she is the queen of the planet picturing you as the persistent and suffocating one....Thats where the guy just has the last drop of love from him fade away never to be that pure caring and romantic person he once was
This was such a good episode and one of my favorite’s from Ninja Storm. I really wish we got to see Dustin bringing her into the good side. Nice video!
So when I was watching Hurricanger and I got to the episode that was adapted from the episode that you are talking about I think I like the Power Rangers episode better. This is mainly due to the fact I don't like Furibeejio. Mara actually did feel remorse and we saw her ask Cam if Dustin still likes her where as her Sentai counterpart she was just annoying.
I actually met Marah's actress this year, and she told me her head canon was that sometime after the season ended, Marah was eventually able to get Dustin to forgive her for the whole Beevil incident, and that the two became close friends, perhaps even a couple.
I wouldnt say always. Iv seen lots of guys rock yellow outfits (cough cough sinestro). Yellow doesnt seem as feminine of a color as pink or light blue. In the japanese sentai version of this show there was an evil yellow Thunder ranger with a ladybug motif (ladybugs are beetles so it fits) and she was female so...eh

How is that a Problem? Dustin was right
See sometimes you just gotta trust people
The second he got betrayed he locked in
The sentai counterpart was a blue ranger special
Disney never fully copied the concept
That’s good
I felt bad for Dustin in this episode because Mariah tricked him

@@YarugumaSou Well sadly these things can be more than just movies
This episode is part of the reason why, Dustin is in my top 3 favorite Rangers. Dustin(& Chip) is the reason why my favorite color is yellow too.
Dustin has that Goku and Naruto naivety thing its so wholesome. Hes reslly good at what he knows but a goofball outside of his lanes
HEDGE. GIVE ME THE SONG THAT PLAYS AT 3:55 AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
Second Wind (Sonic Frontiers Final Horizon)
Dude Dustin's stuff always made me think as a kid and i loved it.
This episode is a double whammy after watching the whole show
I love Dustin. He’s like me : D (am I also the only one that thinks he might have some undiagnosed autism? (Not the actor but the character)
If Marah had become the Purple Ranger. Does that mean Kapri would've been the Pink Ranger?
Well, the outfit is pink. But interestingly, Marah's Ninja Academy uniform has an orange trim while Kapri has a pink trim.
Its nice have this episode focus on Dustin feelings!
And is interesting how they replicate the concept again with Dax and Miratrix in Operation Overdrive and Roxy and Ravi in Beast Morphers.
Well, we didn't know Miratrix was evil to start, and it wasn't like she tried to trick him later.
Not even remotely the same scenarios
been trying to watch this video for so long😂😂
IM SO SORRY
I BEEN TRYIN 😭
THE BEST disney season of power rangers and one of the best tellow ranger too love Dustin ❤
Only downside of the episode for me was that weak megazord battle. The scarf and the star blazer were the worst add-on weapons for the megazord 😭
I honestly could relate to Dustin so much in this episode. I’m also a very trusting person
This was such a good episode and one of my favorite’s from Ninja Storm. I really wish we got to see Dustin bringing her into the good side. Nice video!
not gonna write out my hurricanger comparison again but this a fire reupload 🔥🔥 shoutout dustin hes why i favor yellow rangers a lot
All About Beevil is one of my favorite PR episodes
Used to rewatch a lot as a kid
Can we please talk about how he morphed with no call at 1:05? I think this was one of the first if not first time we see a ranger do this.
It happened many times during the Saban era and after
As someone from Brazil, it still astonishes me to this day that Dustin was played by a Brazilian actor, makes me a bit proud lol

Gotta actually watch it while its here lol

to be fair, all three in Hurricaranger were kind of dumb lol. i liked how the US followed the Japanese story pretty closely
