ofc i love all watcher shows, but there’s something about steven’s shows that are so comforting? dish granted is just steven doing his best to make his friends happy through his food and i love it so so much. it makes me kinda emotional even. i’m so glad this show is back!
He has supportive older brother energy to me while Shane and Ryan are the younger and more crazy. (At least based on what we see in the content)

I love Steven doesn’t just make a dish. He tries to make it thoughtful. Like turning Mac n cheese into pie. Making a wagyu Gordita crunch. Creating 2 versions of oyster and s’more. Making hand pulled noodles and doing chicken and noodles 2 ways. It really elevates things and you can tell the appreciation on everyone’s faces so far
That's high praise for your fried chicken when Keith says its in his top 5. He's a wonderful person but he wouldn't lie about that just to be kind. I think he'd give constructive criticism if it was good but not amazing. He was really surprised. :)
honestly with all of the avant-garde meals steven has NAILED on this show, he really could open up a Watcher Kitchen restaurant and he would make BANK

It was only because TTGs took off that Andrew was brought in.
I love that he and Keith made the format, and I'm also very glad things worked out the way they did. Keith played a sort of character in his worth it eps where it came off as mean to Stephen (even though I know it was a bit and they're actually friends, the energy was just weird), but Andrew brought just the right curmudgeonly energy. And obviously the Try Guys worked out for the best too! Proud of all of these talented men.

My favorite thing that people say on this show, and so many have said it, is "I didn't even know this is what I wanted." That just shows how good Steven really is at elevating dishes beyond the standard.
I wonder if Steven's friends call him up coyly after their Dish Granted and are like "Hey uh...remember that thing you made specifically for me? Yeaaaah. That was good. Do you have the recipe? or do you want to just make it again for me? I'd be afraid of messing up the masterpiece."

I made the al pastor cheesy gordita crunch tacos after watching Ryan’s dish granted (couldn’t get or make the Doritos locos tacos though) and it was amazing. I don’t even think I did it properly and it was still phenomenal.
It did take ages though.

My favorite thing is when the guest is like "yeah I came in fully prepared to lie, but this is genuinely really good"
So many cooking shows rely on chefs having to compromise or work against some wrinkle that's been introduced, and while I do think it's exciting watching cooks have to problem solve, I really wish there were more shows like this where the chefs get as much time/money as they need and get to just...have fun cooking! Steven is so sweet and funny, and watching him be creative with the recipe without the stress of an unreasonable time or budget limit is really relaxing

I love how much effort Steven puts into it. He makes it clear that giving us a love language for him, and he wants to give those he cooks for a memorable experience while telling them how much they mean to him. It's so sweet. What does this mean
I’m a longtime try guys fan but just found Steven on Watcher and in one video, I just loved him so much, even though he was being sarcastic and acting bored. It was so funny! I immediately found this video and even though it’s only the second time I’ve seen Steven, his enthusiasm was surprisingly moving. He cared so much about doing this well and impressing Keith. When Keith’s face lit up with every bite, I almost had tears in my eyes. So many sweet and talented folks came out of buzzfeed and I love the way they care about each other.
I love how he tests his limits to make his friends happy! And in the end, what makes the food tasty it’s the tender and nice thoughts he cooked into it. ❤️❤️
The love Steven has for his friends is so wholesome and authentic. To me cooking a great meal you know your friends would enjoy immensely is an expression of love. Great job Steven!

“I don’t want heat just for heats sake” is something I live by. You gotta still have those layers of flavours! My favourite dish I’ve ever had and probably the most spicy thing I’ve eaten was Thai jungle curry. It was so incredibly flavourful I can’t even fully describe it with words. I’m drooling just thinking about it 😅

Once in a while I like to come back to this video to torture myself and dread over the fact that I will never be able to eat that delicious-looking platter of chicken and noodles.
I like it how in a lot of these episodes the guests find their own way to assamble parts of the meal together even when it wasn't planned by Steven. Like when he made the steak, spinach and foccacia and it became a steak and spinach pizza.
