- In this video, we’re gonna analyze an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience so you can see how two people can go from seemingly unimportant small talk to a much more meaningful conversation in a matter of minutes.
If you’re an introverted person and you want to make conversation with people but you simply don't know what to say or how to behave, by the end of this video, you’ll have a better understanding of some simple things we can do to make our conversations flow more easily and have more positive interactions with people even if we don’t know them very well.
In this clip you’re about to watch, Joe Rogan and Theo Von are chatting about life in Austin, TX, and Joe’s plans for building a new comedy club in the city. (Joe recently moved from Los Angeles, CA to Austin, TX)
Before you watch the video, I want to remind you that the first 90 seconds are gonna be pretty boring… you might find yourself thinking, “Why am I listening to this?” - But just be patient and keep watching the video, I promise you will see how easy it can be to turn a dull conversation into something more interesting.

By the way you articulated yourself I could see it had a immediate success, I’m pretty much on the same path however I do good until I “run” out of interesting topics and it becomes like a puzzle , or getting a short reply not necessarily dry but enough to make you contemplate on what your next response should be
Ngl went to an artist reception and this worked stroke up like 4 10-13 min conversations at the end of it.
Watching this after fumbling a conversation with a girl i liked 😭😭😭
Same boat brother

Thanks for your words, Zahra. I'm glad you liked it!
The “tell me more” but rephrasing into something else, I think can be a great way to keep the conversation going. Now that it’s been brought back to me I’ve actually done this before in the past and it worked similarly to how you explained it. The video was a great analysis and I hope I can keep the lessons with me. Cheers man. 👊
Wow. What an absolute blessing of a video. First search and found exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

There is a formula. If you study PUA, you'll learn all the charisma formulas at a deep level, that community has broken it down to a science, like playing chess.

Rn I’m struggling with making up small talk when I’m just walking with friends and trying to find something in common between us to have conversation on. I say I’m pretty good at sounding interesting and fun to talk to when I’m in class with them because I can make small talk while already having a topic like homework or games on my phone. But I start to struggle when I have nothing like that to use. I avoid one on one walks to classes like this because I feel like they would get bored of me cuz I don’t know what to talk about. Any tips?
You find any tips I need some If you found any
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
ALSOOO. Be aware of your own curiosities about the person and put them front and center
Yeah nowadays kids in my school can’t hold convos and call it yapping 😂😂 attention span is kinda crazy rn
Just trying to get some tips to get people to talk more 🙃
Completely agree, I wanna go out having conversations with people at my school but they can't stay focused
but how to start a conversation?
To me, this shows that Theo is a terrible conversationalist, and Joe is a great one.
