The thing about bone and outkast is, while both were influential groups, bone was more underground in a sense. By that i mean, the raps theyd put out were really dark for the time. While Outkast on the otherhand..... i dont remember any real controversy/controversial songs from them. So naturally (in the 90s) theyd be promoted more than bone. I mean just look at what NWA came out of. Like bone was signed to ruthless..... so was NWA. but bone was never at the level of NWA (notoriety wise). And bone was spittin way harder shit than NWA. Like its not even close. For those reasons i think they lowkey got shafted by the industry at the time. They could have been icons. Dont get me wrong they def are to us, but not in the eyes of the music industry.

Not even close to what happen. It was originally a Bizzy Bone song. It was Bizzy, Pac, and Silk-E-Fyne. It was because of Silk-E that the Collab happened. Originally Bizzy had 2 verses. When Ruthless got it though they took Silk-E off and Bizzys second verse. Then added the other Bone members. Bizzy was upset about Silk-E-Fyne being removed since she was the reason for the whole set up with 2pac in the first place. You can TH-cam the original version

Nah, Bone's song with Biggie, "Notorious Thug"s (97), was recorded after Tupac had already passed (96), and the record came out after Biggie died. Bone didn't get to hear Biggie's verse until after his death. He was the only one who hadn't recorded his verse in the studio. He was so impressed with Bone's flow that he wanted to take home the record and perfect his own flow. Unfortunately, he died before they got to hear his recording. "Thug Luv" was also released around 10 months after Tupac's death, even though that record was also made while he was alive. I remember it like it was a yesterday. And no one really made fun of Biggie for rapping like that. So many artists copied it and paid homage to that flow ever since.

@@saidi2437 Yeah, it was actually a bittersweet moment in Hip Hop when those records dropped. We were all hyped to hear them, but at the same time, it hit us again that both of those artists were gone. Those records were instant classics though! The first time I heard it, I felt it, ha.
I think for the younger generation, they assumed that Notorious Thugs was recorded first because it was released first. But it was recorded a little after. Bone had a good relationship with both Biggie and Tupac, and didn't get in the middle of their beef. When Tupac passed, everyone realized how stupid the whole East Coast/West Coast so-called beef was, and started coming together with collaborations.
