i got a sorta beat up looking Ford Ranger V6 and it sounds nothing like this Ferrari V6

This car feels weird in a good way, because this is literally how I feel with an Inline 5 sounding exactly like half a V10
It's a 120-degree Vee angle which makes the firing order more like a flat-six or inline-six. 🙂

Finally a channel that uses a proper camera lens that shows the real proportions of the car.

Funny story, I have a Gen1 Raptor in the collection as well, but sprung for a Roush example and a couple Porsches so unfortunately no jet ski.
This is by far the best sounding v6. It sounds like a true traditional Ferrari. As mentioned well executed in tingling the senses
At first, I was like "WTF a V6? What are you doing Ferrari?"
Then I heard the sound... nvm. All is forgiven. It sounds incredible.
The fact that the engineering and hard work that the brainiacs at Ferrari are doing are completely disregarded if the car doesn’t sound “up to par” is still insane to me. There’s more to a car than sound people

This is an interior that will age well. And kudos for no central screen!
Highway 33 starting out in Ojai, CA is one of the best. Go have breakfast in Ojai Valley Inn then go up past Pine Mountain summit, then turn around when you get the halfway station bar and grill.

That's got to be one of the prettiest ferrari's i've seen in many generations now. Has the hip lines, the silhouette is nice and simple but refined. You know the designers who made it have a mature taste, and it looks like they're deriving some of these lines from older models. Just beautiful! And the sound! 🥰
One of the only times I'm proud to be from New Jersey is when we always have the newest cars registered in our state :P

I’ve driven those exact roads in my corvette C8 and MAN is it a blast!!! You boys are lucky to drive that in the 296! Definitely my new favorite Ferrari. Can’t wait to see what they come up with for the track special version that will surely come out soon.

13:52 It unique to CA that we say The 10, or The 5 when referring to our freeways, but we don't say The PCH even though it is (T)the Pacific Coast Hwy.
the styling is reminiscent of a Ferrari 360 but with a little added muscularity. In other words, it's beautiful

Roads y'all should hit? I got a good loop for ya - Otay Lakes Road (Otay Ranch, CA) -> Right on Campo Road, follow all the way until it ends on i8 -> West on i8 -> Exit to Sunrise Highway. From there, you can either keep following Sunrise highway to as far as it will take you, or turn left part way through on to route 79 and go back south to El Cajon, CA. Enjoy the twisties!
This new 2.9L TT V6 is a masterpiece, sounds so much like their N/A V12 and sounds so much better than their TT V8, just needs an exhaust.
Sure it sounds like a V12 a bit but it sounds like a neutered over restricted V12

Yea I definitely hear a v12 tone with a muted sound with an exhaust it will sound really good
@@jaedynward97 A turbocharged engine will always sound muted it doesn't matter what exhaust you put on it. Just compare the Ferrari 296 GT3 with the Ferrari 458 GT3, the 296 still sounds muted even with the racing exhaust on it. It's one of the quietest cars on the track compared with the naturally aspirated Porsche 911 GT3 R flat-six or Mercedes AMG GT3 6.2 V8.
I love the 296, perfect modern version of the 250LM! Amazing machine!
This and the CT4V Blackwing are my fave sounding V6s

The Ferrari 296 is my favorite current Ferrari! A Hybrid V6 that sounds amazing, but Ferrari used the smaller size of the engine to make a smaller, more fun car! 🤯 They used the smaller engine as an advantage, THIS is how you downsize an engine! ❤️❤️
Hope you shot in Rancho Palos Verdes!! There’s also LOTS of Mercedes test vehicles there. I even saw the newest four door smart testing there a few months ago
It's a shame Ferrari can't recreate the looks of the 458.
Which I still think is one of the most beautiful things ever made.
My favorite Ferrari by far and GM's inspiration for the C8 Z06. The 458 Italia is the only Ferrari I ever had the privilege of riding in. It was an incredible experience.

Those 5 spoke wheels have spokes that shape shift twist towards the rim like an Ann Demeulemeester chair.

next time you're on the Pacific Coast Highway turn East on the croner were Peperdine unversity is take that road to the 101 and back great views and a dope tunnel.. if you have time wake up early the morning and head to the Angelus crest Highway

This might be a little bit controversial, but I do like the v6 sound that the 296 gtb made even more than the v8 sound made from the classic 458 italia
It sounds more like a mini v12 rather than a regular grumbling v6 from a GTR or the Ford GT (2016 model), which I do find interesting indeed
I don't blame you at all.
And Yes. GTR has that weird grumbling that makes it sound broken. There are many children out there who likes that kind of thing. Ferrari has magic and soul to make the engine sound more smoother.
I agree with you too, I never thought the 458 sounded as amazing to my ears as everyone else and I actually prefer this V6 howl better than that 4-cylinder super bike on steroids sound of a 458
Nah, just type in 458 IPE exhaust or 458 Novitec exhaust in the search bar above. There is no comparison. The naturally aspirated V8 sounds so much better, especially from the outside.

This is a perfect Italian gem of 2023! And I like that it looks a bit old classic with the rounded edges.

I gotta love how when Honda did this with the NSX, every car reviewer and keyboard warrior hated it. When Ferrari does it, it's all good, amazing, and wicked.
I think it's just the time we're in. The NSX was truly a car designed before it's time.

Lol the NSX had 2 turbos, 3 electric motors, and was still slower than most cars in its class in a straight line and on track. This has 800hp. That’s the difference.

I wish most vehicles would get rid of the center stack in exchange for doing everything in the gauge cluster. It's just a more convenient location and it encourages minimizing touch screen inputs.
Can't wait to see the comparison between this Ferrari and the Mclaren Artura. Both incredible cars. The 2nd gen NSX was truly a car before it's time.

I was on vacation in the Balkans driving around from city to city along the Adriatic coast & couldn't help but think - "Shit man, every other corner here is 'cliche corner'".
I eventually did get homesick and enjoyed coming back to Oakville and my lame weekend back roads though.

Wow, only a handful of V6's actually sound good. This one sounds fantastic. But I actually think the sound is better from the outside than the inside. Not that it sounds bad inside, it sounds amazing, but it sounds even better from the exhaust.

Such a gorgeous look and drivetrain set up that this car has. Been loving the other reviews I've seen of this car. Great job on this one gentlemen. Ironic how the time I'm finally watching you guys FROM MISSISSAUGA you're in my ex-resident (now based in Washington, Oregon being home home) state of California lol, but glad it was such a sexy car as the 296.
P.S. Was at Playdium when I finally got the news that my i4 finally is in Portland after being stuck at the port as there is a recall but will get fixed locally soon.

This is my favorite Ferrari. Only the 288 GTO comes close, and this 296 GTB is a bargain compared to that. Also, I my 6' 5" lanky frame might actually fit inside this from what I've heard. Great video Guys!...I was hoping you'd get to the 296GTB.
