Wow!! It's a work of art the way you've put this one together; the music, the sound of the waves and the video editing, brilliant. Surely the Tourism Board of Inishturk should be using this to promote their stunning wee island. Hats off to you Miriam, you definitely nailed it and with such a short video as well that's not easy.
Awww thanks Donna! That video was the first video that started getting a lot of views for me, another TH-camr plugged it and new people checked the channel out for the first time - always very grateful to him for that - Gerry (Walking & Wild Camping in Ireland). This was when I hadn’t the courage to speak in videos but it in fairness I didn’t even want to anyway! Sometimes I think I’d prefer to do videos like that but I’d miss the interaction and ability to connect that has come from speaking in videos too - anyway, I suppose changing it up is always possible. And doing some non talking videos once in a while is always an option…ah yes, another idea, thanks for that 😂😂
Mi piacciono i miei viaggi da solo!! 😊 Visitare un'isola è sempre davvero speciale, ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere 2 notti su un'isola lo scorso fine settimana (senza macchina fotografica 😎) Grazie ancora!
Looks phenomenal, I was there a few years ago but the sky was covered in mist.. saw nothing, drone entered a cloud within a few meters. Great to see this now.. never imagined shots like these though! Galway/Mayo mountains as background scenery too.
Ah what a fantastic spot to wander and stay in a tent! I was in my element there - so much solitude and beauty around me and the weather gods were shining bright!! Thanks again for reminding me of this gorgeous island - all of our islands give me so much pleasure!! Very glad you enjoyed it 😊
Oh wonderful Kevin, your Achill visit sounds gorgeous! I’m doing ok thanks - a rough few days but feeling a bit better today (I think!) Thanks very much for your good wishes! Wishing you the best also for Christmas and your Achill trip🎄 🎉
Cheers Peter! A very special little trip…really nice landscape to spend some time 👍 With you moving to Ireland, are you Irish born and returning home or what’s the story? Lots of nice places for you to visit when you move anyway!
@@MiriamKennedy I'm U.S. born but an Irish citizen. I was intending to attend Trinity College to pursue a PhD but COVID set that plan asunder. So, now the plan is to move to Ireland to study Irish and wild camp. ;) May I look to you for tips on where and when? I have full size bicycles but kinda want a folder now after viewing your vidz. We'll see. I'm open and flexible.
Certainly - if I can be of any help, give me a shout! There's a bit of a Non Dual Sangha here too that you can tap into. I used to go along to see visiting teachers but I stopped that a few years ago. A brave move for you to move to Ireland 👍😎
@@MiriamKennedy In which city is the Sangha? I might like to attend. I'm thinking of traveling to Portugal to sit in with Mooji when his ashram reopens. For the most part, at least to start, I'll be in the wesht. Thank you, but I'm not sure if it's bravery or self preservation. We'll see. As Napoleon said,
Hi Peter - I’m so out of the loop now with the satsang scene to be honest. I notice there is a ‘Satsang Ireland’ Facebook page, I’m not on Facebook myself but I googled it just now and saw they have a presence on Facebook. The posts I saw were only referring to the teacher Pamela Wilson (I’m no fan of her teachings to be honest) but I’d say if you reached out to this group on Facebook you might be able to see if they are organising events for other teachers too. In the past they had an email distribution list which would inform everyone of a schedule of planned events, I’ve no doubt something like that still exists and this group on Facebook might be able to point you in a direction! There may be various groups meeting more regularly throughout the country but are possibly aligned to particular teachers. Your Portugal trip could be good! I saw Mooji once when I was over in Tiruvannamali in Inida a good few years ago. The West will be a good place to base yourself for sure!! 👍
@@MiriamKennedy yes all good I spent Christmas Day in my camper van in Connemara on my own nice and peaceful listening to the rain and wind 💨 to keep me company
Thanks so much Cathriona! Delighted you liked it, yep the map sign doesn’t lie - a beautiful island 😊 A great day and evening spent with the ocean and the land!
Thanks for sharing such a brilliantly filmed mini documentary of your Inishturk Island visit. You have presented a great sample of the beauty of this Wild Atlantic Gem and captured some of the Spirit of tge place 🙌
Thanks John - delighted you liked it! It would be difficult to fail in capturing the beauty of Inishturk. A magical and serene spot for sure (a stormy day would no doubt show another side to its power!) Great to meet you along the way and share in the boat journey to and from the island!
Really glad you enjoyed it 🤗 It’s a lovely island to visit - I imagine it’s not as busy as it’s neighbouring islands as there isn’t much accommodation available on the island. A lovely place to spend some time, hope you get there!
That was stunning Miriam. Lovely music too You find all the best spots that I have never seen. Thanks for sharing all these lovely videos. Definitely put that one on my list .
Cheers Joe! Delighted you liked it 🤗 Do add it to your list - I’d never been before and it surpassed any idea I had as to what it might be like. It doesn’t seem to be as popular on the tourist trail as neighbouring Clare Island and Boffin - very little accommodation so I’d say it never has many people staying besides campers. There were only two people on the boat for my trip over - me and one other visitor. It’s a lovely place to walk and spend time!
