That’s a Ronda 763E, it’s a one jewel movement, and you can easily tell by the silver metal over the gold tone used on the older Ronda 763’s. I have this movement in my Vero SWQ, and it’s pretty nice, reasonably accurate but I’d prefer a Miyota 2115 myself. Japanese quartz movements are really good.
I never saw 763 with E letter. There are G and some numbers, or just 763. The silver tone plates are used when the movement is manufactured outside of Switzerland, and gold are used in the original Swiss production. Both Swiss and Japanese quartz movements are good... until they broke. 🙂 Thanks for watching!
You never know. I had an opportunity to work with hundreds of quartz watches in different conditions and It wasn't rare when some watches had a bunch of issues, both mechanical and electronics. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great job! Watch movements are small already but this movement and its gears looked tiny. Almost anyone including Fossil would simply replace the movement and trash this one but you brought it back to life again.
I understand repairing is good (less junk on the planet!) but for this wouldn't it be easier and cheap enough to just put a new Ronda 763 in it? I found one online for just €4.
Of course, it would. But there is an another layer of thinking (and doing), which explains why people have the most fun, when they can do, even it's harder, than not to. Sometimes they call it a hobby. 😀
I can only guess why the rotor got destroyed. Could be a dust accumulation in the very narrow gap between rotor and stator. But you never know for sure. Thank you for the comment.
Thank you! I cleaned three wheels and upper bridge in 99% alcohol, also used a pith wood button and Rodico to clean pivots. I use One Dip for cleaning jewels in mechanical watches.
@@ValentechTime That bat will only last 3-6 month depending on the movement therefore silver oxide is the recommended practice in the industry....and I did not ask for a validation and merely pointed out the inferior product. Nice work, thank you for your reply.

It is rare to have a fault in the mechanic and electronic part of a quartz movement.

Good finding.

Fixing is fun. Simple replacement - not so much. Thank you for the comment!

did you find out why the rotor broke? you must have a large selection of parts. thanks for the demo.

I have 25 year experience of watch repairing, I never saw rotter broken this way. Sometimes it gets rust & pivot broke
Great work. Curious did you clean parts with one dip or in an Ultrasonic?

Çok güzel iş elinize sağlık.
Thank you!
LR Alkaline Batterie?
Correct, LR is alkaline battery. Thanks for watching!

@@SorinClenci Sorry, misunderstood. You put a question mark on your first comment, so I answered.
What is called watch machine holder
Watch movement holder - to hold the watch movement during work on the watch. Is this what you asked about?
Why don't you repair the circuit
How can I or anybody else repair not repairable electronics module? The only way is to replace it.
