Thank you very very much. This is probably the most detailed quartz movement analysis I have ever seen. A true watchmaker's view of quality quartz movement. I learnt a lot from your video. Thank you !!! more quartz movement please!!!
Have the exact same movement in my Movado.watch ran flawlessly for last 7trs I've owned it.replaced battery about 6 months back and again worked perfectly then all of the sudden it just stopped.using a renata 395 battery and battery still has 1.47volts so battery is good.im assuming the coil went bad, idk.going to strip it down and do a service and hoping there's just something inside movement like dirt that caused it to stop but if it still dont work after doing a thorough cleaning and oiling then I guess I'm gonna have to change coil and hope for best since I don't have proper tools to test a quartz movement in order to find out what the problem is.im not a person who pays others to do stuff for me hence the reason I learned how to service my own watches so hoping I can get her going again with just a basic service.
Hello. I am about to buy an vintage Omega with Cal 1337. But what i can see on the pic, the battery went bad and started corroing many parts inside the watch. My question is, would it worth it to buy it and do a service?
I have an Oysterquartz that loses time(15min+)overnight whilst off the wrist and in a cold room say 20-23c. On the wrist 4seconds lost a day. Any thoughts? And can your shop repair these. Thanks and love the channel!
Sorry for the late response, i just see your message now. A modern quartz element hardly ever loses or gains time anymore. If a quartz movemnt looses time it is most common that it's a mechanical problem. Either wheels have too much friction or the hands touching something. Again sorry for answering so late.
Hello, I have a Seiko Quartz Sports 100 that was owned by my late best friend. It is in need of repair/service as it does not run. Can you assist me in getting it running, so that I can return it to his wife?
