    A nice little project. It takes 9min for you to figure out the problem! This is freaking awesome.
    Dude, you are 先生 (sensei) of Ronda watches! Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
    Always a great and informative video.

    You didn't fix or show the problem, only the cog that turns the calender ring, so what goes wrong with these cogs and replacement

      I showed the problem in the beginning of the video - cannot change date by stem. Then I fixed the issue by replacing the setting lever spring (I called it setting lever in the video - my mistake). Thanks for watching!

    Ahh, so that thing gets broken when you push the stam releave to hard.....

    • @ValentechTime
      @ValentechTime  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that setting lever could loose its strength over the time and become the case the date adjustment issue.

    Ronda, such a garbage movement

      I disagree. I like that Ronda has a very good grip on the quartz movement technology. They have many levels of movement design and offer a numerous configurations. You cannot label that wide spectrum by a single word.

      @@ValentechTime First, there is no wide spectrum of movements in Ronda land. A handful of budget models. Second, the problem in the video shows precisely how cheaply Rondas are made. Metal pieces get bent and movement fails. If Ronda knew what they were doing, they would be using stronger parts. Easy. Besides, I am also speaking from my own experience. One of my Rondas developed sticky seconds hand due to parts wearing out. The other of my Rondas had adjustment wheel fail due to wear. Rondas are most certainly not about quality.
      Thanks for the video though, it was useful and confirmed my growing suspicion that Rondas are packed with a spectacular variety of design flaws.

      @@wota4143 Again, you cannot label the whole brand by just a single negative word, even your own experience suggest so. From my experience of fixing hundreds of watches I would not say that Ronda is worse than Miyota. Because both brands have different levels of products. And low end Miyota are not better than Ronda of the same level. BTW, here is a link, showing how wide spectrum of Ronda movements is: www.ronda.ch/en/movements I appreciate that you liked my video for some reason or another, but you can also find my videos about a good quality of Ronda (series 5000) that have gotten to a very bad condition, but not because of design flaw. I'd guess, that the sticky seconds hand in your Ronda is not because of wear, but because of accumulated dirt. And date adjustment wheel failure is also a common problem for Miyota, I had many of those.

      @@ValentechTime Pretty interesting. You're probably correct about dirt, although it's 50/50. Dirt or mechanical stress. Shock from riding a bike that deformed one of the wheels.
      Never happened to my Casio Oceanus, for many years. My Oceanus watches take all abuse, including tennis and bike, without a single hiccup, for years.
      I still wouldn't say Ronda is reliable or sturdy, but neither may be low end Miyotas.
      My point of reference has always been Casio Oceanus movements, which never dye, no matter what abuse they see.
