As someone who makes beaded gemstone bracelets, I am happy to hear bracelet stacking is back! Something about the smoothness of the stones and the clicking of the beads is very satisfying. Also, the stones themselves are quite beautiful! I pair mine with other metal bracelets, too.
And this is why I appreciate your work Leonie, you supplement your videos with many visuals unlike many who speak about fashion or interiors yet offer measly portions which is lazy hence they don't get my follow/subscription. Thank you.
I bought a genuine neverfull mm and then a replica in a *condup* and I was disappointed that I spent so much money on the genuine product only to get the same quality.
I said the same thing until I got one pair that are comfy, neutral and stylish. You cant even tell their stirrups. Probably the only pair I will intentionally get. They were a great thrift find tho
As soon as you finished your bag charm segment, I ran to my jewelry mirror and started dressing up my bag with fun, chunky pearl jewelry. Looks great thank you!
I worked with a wealthy woman who owned a collection of "suluxs" and "luxury" handbags. Somewhere is real, somewhere is a replica, you honestly can't tell the difference. She taught me how to mix and match, she taught me to buy bags at *condup* , especially trendy bags, instead of spending $5,000 on something that will be out of style next year.
I like the smaller bag charms ! It’s just cute! Adds a bit of personality. The larger purses are nice to carry laptops , change of clothes ect. No to stirrup pants..not ever again
I will say the bag charms are cute. I make hand painted kokeshi dolls of famous writers, artists, fashion designers, etc. I have made several of them as charms or ornaments from the hand painted wooden heads and used thrifted mink, Mongolian lamb fur, and thrifted cashmere to make the bodies adding beads and details. I usually give them away to friends and family. I should sell them. 🤭😂🤔
I suppose it depends on the charms, but a plastic blue dinosaur, not for me. I prefer the minimal look. However, I can see the appeal of creating something.
This was a thing when I was a young student. This was before social media became all about selling us things we don't need though, so no one had rebranded the keychains and little plushies we used as "bag charms".
Yes to bag charms, brown totes, full maxi skirts and many bracelets Hard no to stirrup pant, sports jerseys and ties (only because reminds me too much of the past) but maybe to lace skirts and the new shade of green 💚
Im not a sportswear gal but when i saw a jersey with a skirt i fell in love.... So i kept my saints jersey its awesome with my black satin skirt n sambas!!!
I'm looking forward to adding some of these trends to my style! Love your channel, I come here to see what is really trending so I can stay fashionable 🤗
*yutulu* The canvas tote actually reminds me of the Hermes Garden Party too. Thanks for making this video to suggest more budget friendly alternatives. love it! 😊
My bag has several zippered compartments so I put charms on them so I know what’s in each. This saves me from zipping and unzipping to find something. 😊
After watching this video I went straight to SKIMS and finally did the damn thing and purchased the lace skirt I’ve had my eye on for a couple of months. So thank you for the push I needed 😂 Oh and I had to join in on the stir ups trend last year. Pulling them over the shoe is a new styling I hadn’t seen before so I’m excited to pull that little look off at some point. One thing I am on the hunt for and I feel like is a quite trend, is a great quality ‘statement piece’ pair of colored leather gloves for the winter time.
Never could keep up with the bag charm thing lol I used to work for a privately owned accessories company so bag charms were a huge thing 7 years ago. The company sold charms, key fobs, and tassels so I got accustomed to dollying up bag and showing people the possibilities. The most I'd probably do is accessorize with the many scarves I own that I also wear as headbands/bandanas, chokers, and neckties. Crazy that I was JUST talking about the vintage Fubu jersey I acquired in a thrift shop a couple of years ago. A pair of knit stir ups too although I'd never wear them with the stirrup under my heel (they just get so dirty this way) I'm most excited about the sheer skirt thing (that's been on my mind way before this video) and also the wasabi aka avocado green. I was just in an art supply store grabbing canvasses and saw leather paint in that color. I grabbed a couple of bottles to die my stained white leather jacket that I'm going to die avocado green
I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulu* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on artisans and quality inspection. My family and I have bought 2 kislux bags in the past 3 years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
We are going to look back at the bag charm trend and cringe. I’m already cringing now but I’m sure a lot of you ladies who are doing This will look back and be like why was I hanging that stuff on such a nice person😂
It's gonna be something if I grab one of my dad ties and he decides to put it for work the same day!😂😂. Love all but the big bag...my mum will love that tho ( that is the size of mostly all her bags😜). As for the charms I've been using them all my life ( we lived in Japan and that is the norm there...love it!😊). Great vid!! Thank u!!😘
I won’t lie…I am here for stirrup leggings - such a retro nod to country/riding chic, and can give ballet vibes too (I also enjoy leg warmers). I think stirrup leggings elongate your legs! I love these videos - I am looking forward to videos featuring winter looks (and holiday party looks?) and maybe a shop with me!
Love your videos Leonie 😊Love brown bags, mixed metals and happy to hear that baggy cargos are still in.. I will wait to see if my daughters mention stirrup pants to me.. I wore them in the 80s but not again over 50 ☺I have a collection of awesome ties I thrifted so I may add those to my shop... I grew up in NY surrounded by all sorts of styles but in Florida I don't see as many styles with our warmer temps and I don't live in Miami or Palm Beach where it would be fun to see what is trending there.. going to find those ties 😊
No charms for me, but full skirt, sheer,,brown bags, and sports jerseys I like. I haven’t got one yet, cause the ones I liked quite expensive, and I don’t think it’s worth 🤔😂 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
I have a white wide leg lace trouser that I've worn lots in summer. Almost looks like a skirt as so wide leg. I plan on wearing it with a jumper during autumn 🍁😊
Soooo excited for the stirrup pants! I have held on to mine since they were in a little over a decade ago! And I’m sooo happy that they’re trending. So sexy
To me the bag charms are so pointless and tacky; and take away from the beauty of a bag. I don't get it. I will stick with my minimalism and clean lines; although I am finding myself leaning into colour more; which I never thought that I would do.
I'm so happy to be wearing cargoes! I hated stirrup pants when I was a child in the eighties and therefore I will not be wearing them now as an adult. I'm here for Matcha green lol. That's so interesting that the color is being called Wasabi green. Didn't you mention earlier in the year that Matcha Green would be trending? It just strikes me as the same color.
It's great to hear you're rocking those cargoes! Fashion trends definitely come and go, but it's always fun to embrace what makes you feel good. And yes, Matcha Green and Wasabi Green are one in the same!
Dear Ms Leonie, Tee-hee...NOPE! No stir-up pants for me! Bravo for those who can wear baggy-cargo pants; being a petite (& not a tall person), I feel like an even....shorter version of myself if I wore those😂; non, it is not flattering for me. Thank you for this fun video Ms Leonie! Always entertaining and informative! helene :))
Hard nope on stirrup pants. I think they are here because women refuse to give up skinny jeans and leggings and our corporate overlords needed something else to market..... as for stacked bracelets, they never left in the US and Canada.
I WAS around for stirrup pants in the 80s... today i would 100% wear them functionally for boots, etc but personally never style them as shown with flats, etc
I loved stirrup pants in the 80s. I think I wore them with flats or black pumps, but they have to be just the right length, and I'm short and hard to fit.
You provided some great categories of pieces and examples of how to style them. I did not see the clip of you in your jersey, and I have only a hockey one, but it’s more fitted. Stirrup pants isn’t something I would invest in but would thrift a pair or not mind getting some clip on ones to add
I can’t imagine putting charms on a bag. Maybe if nobody was doing it, but as a “trend” it’d feel ridiculous. 😂😂😂 Too obvious. 😮 Love the green color though. Bought a gorgeous, full, green skirt at Zara summer sale. It’s my favorite!
I saw a good number of these styles over in East Asia the past few years. Interesting to see how they're making their way over to the Western world now.
I was in Korea and Japan in recent years and it is funny to see the trends that are popular there pop up much later in the rest of the world. For example charms, puffy bags. I wonder if it is a concious choice of the designers to implement those trends observed in Asia and maybe popularized by their fashion brands?
Love the purses, those we call snaps. Some of those models you show wearing these items wouldn't be something most women would wear unless your a teenager!!
I came across a pair of burgundy stirrup pants when I was rummaging in the attic the other day. I wondered what I could do with them. Now I know - I could just try wearing them again! I'm not sure if I want to go back to that trend, but I'll try them around the house and see how I feel. I'm loving the full skirts. So elegant!
I could see getting a pair of stirrup pants for wearing tucked into knee-high boots, just because I know they'll stay put, but otherwise, no. Also no to the bag charms - too cluttered and I like a more minimal look, myself. We call those domes snaps here in the U.S. Love the Songmont bags! ❤
It's a no on stirrup pants for me. If I need my pants to fit neatly inside of boots I will just wear leggings or skinny jeans. I also have clip on stirrups for any straight leg pant with a wider leg opening. Some trends are best left to the young to explore & enjoy. It's new to them & they will reinvent it thru styling.
stirrup pants were my 5th grade favorite. i love leggings and dare i say skinny jeans (with high boots all) if im not sure i could rock them again. maybe they are fitted i would but not if they create a barrel from calf to ankle.
I hated 80s fashion while I was living in the 80s. I constantly cringed whenever I looked at myself and often said to myself, "This too shall pass." Well, it's baaaaaaaaaaaack.
The purse charms are a no for me; it takes away from the purse especially a statement purse. Men’s ties were a thing {{{way}}} back in the days, I might do one in this day & time, but it’s nothing that I’ll go shopping for. I just might do the stir-ups. I like the baggy cargo ( not too baggy). Yes, a simple stacked bracelet look is cute. Thanks for sharing.
As soon as I saw the brown bag against your black top, I thought “autumn” and it immediately made me think of a new outfit idea with a pair of brown pants I just pulled from out of the depths of my closet. It really is about the small pleasures of life 😆
I think most of these are no’s. I wore stirrup pants when I was a young girl. And I’m 65. So I’ve already worn them. I might try the jersey trend. If I can find one I like. I don’t own any now. Maybe some cargo pants. I’m not sure about them. I don’t really want a bunch of charms hanging off my bag. I’m not sure about arm parties either. I don’t want anyone looking at my crepe arms.
I love watching videos where I can see kislux different knockoffs. If it looks well made, it saves time and I can reconsider if I really want to buy it, or buy the real thing. If you have the time, it would be great to keep watching more videos like this
Oh Leonie 😮 on one hand talking about sustainable and mindful fashion and on the other plastic baubles for a bag. Sorry i have seen so many of these and it makes me sad... different if from ypur own stash 📿..ive been watching you on screens in the southern hemisphere for many years and always love your energy 💚🐨
Never liked the purse charms, or sports jerseys. A bit too “extra” for me. But I certainly think that everyone should play around with fashion statements that they enjoy. That is what makes fashion interesting
As someone who makes beaded gemstone bracelets, I am happy to hear bracelet stacking is back! Something about the smoothness of the stones and the clicking of the beads is very satisfying. Also, the stones themselves are quite beautiful! I pair mine with other metal bracelets, too.
I totally agree! There is something satisfying about the clicking of the beads - I get it!
Bags are beautiful 💼🎒without the charms 👍
Yes they definitely don't need the charms that's for sure!
And this is why I appreciate your work Leonie, you supplement your videos with many visuals unlike many who speak about fashion or interiors yet offer measly portions which is lazy hence they don't get my follow/subscription. Thank you.
Thank you so much 😊
@@AgnetaLindholm Agneta, I dunno if your comment was for me but it bears no correlation to my comment, complimenting Leonie.
I bought a genuine neverfull mm and then a replica in a *condup* and I was disappointed that I spent so much money on the genuine product only to get the same quality.
Hard no on stirrups!
I knew stirrups would cause a stir!
I never stopped wearing tons of bracelets! I love jewelry. Yellow gold all the way!!
I def can't get on board with the stirrup pants. I lived through the 80's in the US and I'm taking a hard pass on this one! LOL
Haha, I hear you! Those stirrup pants are like the mullet of the fashion world-business in the front, party in the back, but maybe not for everyone!
I said the same thing until I got one pair that are comfy, neutral and stylish. You cant even tell their stirrups. Probably the only pair I will intentionally get. They were a great thrift find tho

Arm parties! I love that term! I used to wear stacked bracelets ages ago, and I loved it. I'm definitely going to lean into arm parties again!
Me too!!!
Yes!!
Love the red purse!
Thank you - me too 🤩
Big no to the stirrups. 😂
I didn't like them back then and I really don't like them now. They just keep trying to make a comeback 😂😂😂
No stirrups for me!
I like the smaller bag charms ! It’s just cute! Adds a bit of personality. The larger purses are nice to carry laptops , change of clothes ect. No to stirrup pants..not ever again

😂
No to the stirrup pants. Been there done that.
Fair enough too - sometimes coming back to an old trend is a hard no!
yay cargos!🎉
I agree!
Love the longer flowy skirts! So Elegant!
I enjoy watching even though I don’t follow trends. ❤
I will say the bag charms are cute. You should definitely sell them!
Pinterest has the cutest different ways to use and use ties in unique ways.❤your videos
The bag charms remind me of my female students hanging cute little things on their backpacks. 🎒 not for me
Bag charms are juvenile; just ridiculous, an insult to a grown woman's intelligence.
I hear you - I think they're a bit of fun but not a long standing trend that's for sure.
Bag charms and sports jerseys with long skirts seem like jr high- to college girl things, not for grown adults.
Leonie
You look great in your stripe tops, and the red bag 🎒 is beautiful 😊
I always look forward to viewing your blog posts 😊
Thank you so much 🙂
*yutulu* you could post a 2hr long unboxing haul and I'd watch it, I just love watchin people unbox shit i cannot lie

I still have my forenza stirrup pants 😜 I have my granny boots from my early Madonna era. I’d like to see the old black rubber bracelets comeback.
Thank you for sharing your nostalgia! It’s amazing how fashion can take us back in time. Here’s hoping those rubber bracelets make a grand return!
Oh sister you are bringing back memories 😂❤Back in my New Wave days I lived in my stirrup pants, oversized Forenza sweaters, and grannies!

Yippee!
Stirrup pants were ski pants in the 1960s. I remember my sister had a pair.

Whelp, I didn’t do stirrups in the 80’s and it’s a hard no now for me as well. But the baggy cargo…yes please.
I’m not doing Jerseys or Stirrup Pants. Did those in the 80’s. They say if you’ve lived through a trend you shouldn’t do it again! Lol
To me the bag charms are so pointless and tacky; and take away from the beauty of a bag. I don't get it. I will stick with my minimalism and clean lines; although I am finding myself leaning into colour more; which I never thought that I would do.
Colour can get really addictive - esp when you discover colours that really suit you!
And specially if the bag is expensif 😂😂😂 …then you need expensive charms 😂😂😂😂…no way, charms is okay with youth and boho…
Agree. Also charms add a weight that might not be apparent at the beginning of the day, but will tire your shoulder out by end of day.
Yeahhh a bit too tacky for me

Men’s ties were a thing {{{way}}} back in the days, I might do one in this day & time, but it’s nothing that I’ll go shopping for. I just might do the stir-ups. I like the baggy cargo ( not too baggy). Yes, a simple stacked bracelet look is cute. Thanks for sharing.
Snap buttons
Thank you for the videos! ❤
Ahh right thank you ☺️
We call them snaps In the US.
As soon as I saw the brown bag against your black top, I thought “autumn” and it immediately made me think of a new outfit idea with a pair of brown pants I just pulled from out of the depths of my closet. It really is about the small pleasures of life 😆
It really is those small pleasures and that is what I absolutely hope to achieve with my videos so your comment has made my day - thank you!
Do you know where Marfa, Texas is?
No I don't!
Stirrup pants was worn in the 60s(I’m telling my age….again)🙄….so it’s a no for me. I was a preteen then and hated them. Still do😊
Fair enuf!
It's great that you're open to trying new trends, like the jersey style! Fashion is all about personal comfort, so go with what feels right for you.
I love watching videos where I can see kislux different knockoffs. If it looks well made, it saves time and I can reconsider if I really want to buy it, or buy the real thing. If you have the time, it would be great to keep watching more videos like this
One or two charms are cute but those chains are messy
I totally get what you mean! Sometimes less is definitely more when it comes to charms.
Thanks so much Christine and yep I love the idea of creating these charms from your own stash!!
Never liked the purse charms, or sports jerseys. A bit too “extra” for me. But I certainly think that everyone should play around with fashion statements that they enjoy. That is what makes fashion interesting
I totally get where you're coming from! Fashion is all about personal expression, and it's great to see everyone finding their own style.
