    Hey Yul Guy, glaaaaad I found your video! I have the identical washer & dryer from 2010 - just now completed your procedure and it worked like a dream!
    Last year I used a video to replace a broken roller in my same dryer, and to replace the bearings, the spline, then the dampeners in my same 2010 washer.
    Just fixed my garage door opener as well last weekend with my own trial & error fix - for free, after an installer told me I needed a new unit. It's awesome to be able to watch a video(s) like yours, do it yourself, and save money!
    Thanks Yule Guy!

    Well I can’t believe it. After searching 20 or more videos I came across this one. Our LG 2150S dryer died last Saturday and after viewing this video I found the exact same burn mark. Today I soldered the jumper and the dryer is now working. Great, great great…and thank you. I had figured the board needed to be replaced which is now obsolete with no substitution. EBay out of the US is $300 to $400 P.s. the soldering iron at Canadian tire is now $26. Cheers

    My LG clothes dryer failed - no response on the control board but the light inside the dryer drum still turned on and off with the door. Pulled the control board and sure enough there was a burn mark in the same spot as on your video. It took a little finesse to get to the lands as the circuit board had about 3/16" of conformal coating to cut thru to make good solder pads for the jumper wire. Works like a charm for less than 30 minutes work!!! Thanks for making this video!!!

    My 2010 LG Dryer was doing same thing with light on with door open but dryer power not turning on. I tried this video and it worked!! For anyone that is not super circuit savy, you may want to find a separate video on how to solder. My burn mark was in same place and the "jump" worked perfectly!! Great video and cost me $0 because a buddy had all the solder stuff!!

    Thank YOU!!!
    Though the same machine, and the particular circuit board was slightly different, we found the area which overheated with burnt through connection,
    My son with much better eyes than mine carefully peeled back the laminate as your instructions. The broken connection was just a few millimeters, so we purchased soldering iron with soldering paste and carefully place the paste within the cutout of burnt lead and then touched the heated tip from iron to solder the connection.. He also utilized another tool to “smooth-out” things and then cleaned the new connection with alcohol.
    Initially, I had looked up procuring the board to replace (which does not seem to be available,) and the C-Board ranged in price from $35 to $333!!
    SO I REALLY NEED TO THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!

    • @yulguy-teslatechdiy1509
      @yulguy-teslatechdiy1509  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, it’s not a burnt module/connector. Think of it as a “broken/severed wire” that is unable to carry the current to the destination. So we’re simply adding another wire to act as a bridge.

    Hey, great video. Our LG dryer was running and quit when I was drying clothes. There's power to the dryer, but nothing happens when I push the start buttons. I saw some videos that say it's the mother board. Now I'm confused. I'd hate to replace the motherboard and then find it's the other circuit board behind the control switches. I guess what I'd like to know, can you actually see a burn mark on it to know it's bad? Thank You and an awesome video!!

    Hope you dont mind YUL GUY if I post this cause I was going to use your solution until I looked at my control panel and the components were not the same as yours and I didnt see that yellow component or any burn marks. Maybe my LG dryer is older. However, my LG dryer had the same symptoms but the problem ended up being the door switch. I found another youtuber who showed how to temporarily put a jumper in the prongs of the door switch cable connector to confirm the diagnosis. I did that and my dryer worked. So I ordered a new door switch and will install it. SO although I had the same symptoms: dryer not powering on plus I also had the light inside that didnt illuminate when I opened the door. Hope this helps someone!

    • @yulguy-teslatechdiy1509
      @yulguy-teslatechdiy1509  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What do you mean by connection points? Think of the circuit track as a bridge with a hole in it (burn), so you have to connect another bridge (wire) before and after the burn. This way the current is carried through the new connection/bridge. Hope that helps!

    • @StephenLewis-n2q
      @StephenLewis-n2q 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Rick, I just now fixed my dryer using the video.
      But, the procedure won't fix your problem. I have the same problem as you. The dryer has 2 - heating coils in the burner. Over time, one of them can go out, leaving the burner to work on 1 - coil - which it is able to do (mine has for several years). But if I dry a big load on Regular temp setting or higher, it has to run longer, and the burner will overheat, trip the thermostat, and it won't send current to the coil(s) for them to glow and ignite the gas. You ca re-set it by pulling the exhaust tube out and shining your flashlight in to locate the thermostat on the left. (There are videos - It will have a pair of electrical leads with a black reset button in the middle). [Unplug the dryer first or you'll get shocked!!]
      Reach in, push the black re-set button and you feel and hear a click. Then, you'll have heat again!

At the moment, since the board is burned in a specific area it’s not connected so we simply “reconnect it” using a jumper wire. Hope this helps!

      Hi Ernesto. Point A is not the burnt area, you have to find a spot after the burnt area (point A) and somewhere before the burnt area (point b). The idea is to jump over the burnt area but make sure it’s in the same track. I hope this helps!
