This video is about Focus. Derek Sivers says "If you don't learn to focus, you will live an unrewarding and unsuccessful life". I first realized I had a problem with focus around the age of 30. It was there before... but I was unaware. I learnt to focus using a tool called the Pomodoro Method. I share the basic process of the Pomodoro Method. Simple but yet really effective.
Also saves you a lot of time e.g in 2x20 minutes sessions you can do the work of 2 hours of continuous work.
In the beginning I thought it is too easy to be useful, but here I am setting the timer again.
I agree with you. That focusing on task makes that task achievable. The Pomodoro method discussed in the video sounds interesting. I will try that out.

Mr. Conor Neill, thank you for your time to remind us about the vitality of 'focus' and particularly for the pomodoro technique. I will definitely try that approach, yet I admit that it sounds to be quite challenging now with all those distractors you mentioned above.

Conor, thank you,you just reminded me how managing you time is so crucial to completing any project.. as an Opun University graduate I recall be encourage to make use of every 10 minute slot available to you - so I used to take the Units with me o the buses. The Television and social media are like crack cocaine when it comes to getting things done. I canceled my cable more than eight years ago and don’t miss it. It freeze up up so much time. The average person spends four hours a day watching Television.You have to be careful though. Because other distractions are just around the corner. Focus, discipline and accountability are key factors to maintaining long term success.
Distraction is so easy... I loved a definition of discipline I heard recently I have a choice of what to do now "what feels most important now vs what is most important now"

Focus is a lost art in today's day and age. But the good news is that we can all cultivate focus, focus is a practice.
