I'm not allowed to bring an actual CAMERA into many venues, (I do have my ways though). I have more than 1,000 concert shots from early '70s thru '90s! Never got in the way of other concert-goer's. Even able to be invited into the orchestra pit! But now "people" with their shit-phones can mess up the audience's enjoyment of the show. WTF. I guess I've gotten too old.
On the plus side, we now get to watch the gig through the lens of the phone and have a blurry visual momento with awful sound quality that we can upload for a dozen followers on YT.

Back in 1985 REM toured Germany (er West Germany back then.) Michael actually had platinum hair back then. The band kicked ass, but the crowd clearly had no idea wtf they were listening to. If you watch videos from that tour, Michael gets pissed at the dead crowds. And here😮 they are in Germany 20 years later, when people have clearly caught on.
Apparently in the very beginning, Pete suggested that Mills take the guitar role, because at the time he had more experience. But Mills listened to his playing, heard the potential, and was like "uh uh, you da man."
