Auto auction rebuild in this video = reset oil change light that you don’t need a 2000.00 dollar tool for (dose not reset it only gives instructions found in owners manual). Add incorrect ATF, Wash car, and send The car to someone else for the “rebuild”(Fix window regulator and headlights). I would like to see more “rebuilding” vs. giving to someone else to fix. Great job providing content for everyone stuck at home. Thanks.
I never would be able to pressure wash my engine, I would worry too much about damaging wires, vacuum lines and things like the alternator. Sure makes it easy tho lol
Most dealerships do it anyways on used trade ins if your really worried you can just not start the car right away but most the time theres nothing to worry about especially on newish cars everything of importance is under plastic
I use a lawn blower to dry the engine area, helps dry it faster plus gets the electronics from possible moisture issues, fyi do your neighbors complain about all the cars you have on the street..
@@mleindek Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. The battery, alternator, and fuse box which you mentioned are all 12 volt areas of the car. They can work perfectly even if submerged (in 4wd mud rallys, they often are). The high voltage areas such as coils and HT leads are where tracking (arcing) will occur and that's when you hope the rubber boots and seals are doing their thing :-)
I think you have a good advantage in Oklahoma because I come from Illinois and everything is a rusty crusty mess. I had to buy replacement wheels used on eBay from Oklahoma in fact because they were so corroded that I could not maintain a bead seal on them. The ones I got used were not cheap exactly but they were nearly new. I moved away from that frozen boredom zone thank God. Hope you and your family stay well Randy. God bless you and thank you for turning me on to Lucky and Tk's channels. Ill give you a shout out once I start flipping cars and motorcycles here in Colombia. God bless Randy
Doubles up the dollars when you and Mike make a video about the same cars progress. You when you buy and repair it and get it ready to sell and Mike when he continues the repairs and then sells it. An unbeatable team effort.
Back in the 80's when I raced Hondas (Civic, CRX, multiple years) we were "unoffically" advised to replace the standard Honda 5 speed manual transmission lube with 5-30 synthetic motor oil to improve shifting, and reduce friction. Result was that one could now shift as hard and fast as you want, all day long, and you would never beat the syncros. 6 years of this and had not one transmission failure.
After washing the engine is good to spray WD 40, it will take the water out of the electronic components and create an anti corrosive film (and also it is going to look shine)
I can confirm you will definitely have issues. Alternator pulley was making noise. Sprayed a little wd40 on the pulley, few miles later the noise was minimal but then got very loud and the pulley broke off and the belt slipped off. Do not use wd40, speaking by experience.
Randy, a very common problem on all Honda’s is the window can come out of the track. Just pull the door panel and look at the openings near the bottom of the door to see if it’s in the track. On three Honda’s I have owned that have had this issue I was able to remove one bolt, get the window back in the track, and then presto! All is well again. Putting a new regulator is super simple too and will save you $$ ... with the time it will take you to get it to a shop and back you’d be done! I guess I’ll have to watch the rest of the video to see what happens, but wanted to let you know regardless :) Keep it up brother!
Really like watching all your videos and you are a real champ! Kinda funny when you said at the beginning that you shouldn’t wet the distributor and then later on you soaked it with the pressure washer. You’re still one of the best!
Like direct from Brazil ! I like the way you do your videos how you make the cars as is it was for you ! Thumbs up in every video ! And also training my english in your videos! Wish the cars was as chip here as it is in the states ... ! Love your channel !
I love your videos. I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy and that your videos rily helps me and also learn about the cars and the history of them. You need to get a Dodge Challenger on the channel. You and your family have a good blessed day today.
Randy checks the trans fluid, shows nothing. Re-installs the dipstick with a piece of lint on the end of it. That's gonna destroy that trans....lol. Thanks for the constant content.Stay safe.
Looks great Randy! I enjoy watching a neglected older car get a little love, even if it's just a bath. :) Stay safe and well! Mike will make it look even better. He did a great job putting the finishing touches on the ML320.
I love these videos where you do your magic and then Weird Beard does his magic. I lean so much from both of you guys, I love the videos. Keep them coming.
Randy i love your content. As a auto detailer by trade id like to suggest getting in contact with a local youtuber who can detail your cars properly. They can film the content and use it for their channel but you end up with a pro done cleaning. I saw many things you missed but your not a detail guy so you wouldn't look for those. thats why i suggested in hooking up with somebody to trade services on cleaning your care right. they get content to share with their channel and you get a car thats washed inside and out and paint corrected best they can. will make a difference when selling i have n o doubts on that at all.
Randy, have you considered getting a DA polisher? About impossible to burn the paint but you can clean up a LOT of minor scuffs, marks and bring up a really nice shine. Well worth it. This Honda would come around amazingly well with it. I've had a Porter Cable 7424XP for many years, wouldn't want to detail a car without it anymore. Autopia has some good package deals on it with pads, backing plate and polishes.
Great video Randy. Just think that car was waiting to be scrapped and now someone is going to have reliable transportation. AWESOME JOB🔥Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe 👍💥💥
Only use Honda ATF. I’d drain and fill once, drive it around a little and drain and fill the ATF again. Gotta leave the window regulator to Weird Beard.
You should consider making videos just detailing cars once they're done. Can be an extra video for people to see, maybe give some decent revenue, and its pretty nice to watch. Loved watching the engine bay get cleaned up
I remember you saying that you did not want to do car wash video's. In my humble opinion you do a great job. Please make a video showing all your car wash products. One of my side jobs is washing cars. You tube Rene Urena. Odd jobs with Rene. Be safe and take care.
Love watching your videos till the end just to find out you never reveal how much you sell the vehicles for. Instead we have to go to someone else's channel and watch 10 more videos to find out.
You should do a partnership with a local detail shop you pay them a certain amount a year or month and you can bring them as many cars as you need and they do full interior and exterior / engine bay and wheels if needed, works for them for exposure and for you for convenience
With those light marks on the body and mirrors, if you use a Mr clean magic eraser and a good compound, it usally takes out the scratches and Mark's. Just use a light hand or you can burn into the clear coat.
Randy, window regulators aren’t hard to do at all. I’ve replaced two front door handles, two front door windows and a driver side regulator on my 2005 nissan altima. With everything that did to it in order to fix it up took me 45mins. Yes I change my own oil, transmissions, brakes, axles engines etc.... my self as well.
I've pressure washed alot of vehicles under hood and soaked them with degreaser and the body shop I worked at did the same thing never had a problem not once
I feel like we finally got the old Randy back through this “situation” lol. Always enjoyed watching the time lapsed detail work you put into these cars since the Pontiac G5. 👌🏾
Quick tip if you power wash your car make sure you cover the crankshaft connectors because if you get a little bit of water in there it will cause the to go into limp mode..trust me
All cars have a cheat to take the service needed lights off on the dash just look it up on the Internet and it will tell you what you need to do,, stay safe and well and keep the content up 👍😊
Hondas always seem to go cheap at auctions. I don't know why, they are decent cars, easy to work on and have great resale value. Ok, maybe not Merc or BMW level, but pretty decent for your average dealer.
Randy been a subscriber from uberman days and will continue to be but your channel is auto auction rebuilds not a auto auction washes the car I am not a hatter or a troll just looking for the content of the old days even if it’s replacing a regulator I hope all are well and be safe .
Nice looking little Honda. Weird Beard will take it to the next level. He's really good at it, and fast too. Randy, you're right, time is money and you've got to figure out how much time works in your favor, and when the time you're spending is spinning your wheels and going backwards. I'm curious, do you use any kind of degreaser on the engine, or do you just use the power washer?

My engine bays are full of rustproofing. Ugly engines are the lesser of two evils.
Use WD-40 if you ever get water in something you didn't mean too. WD= water displacement.
I spray washed my motor on my 84 cavalier..it was hot and it cracked my. Coil packs
I have been pressure washing my engine for 30 years I always keep the engine running then wash it never had a problem.
I use a lawn blower to dry the engine area, helps dry it faster plus gets the electronics from possible moisture issues, fyi do your neighbors complain about all the cars you have on the street..
Same thought here. It looks like a Copart lot (of sorts)...lol
Battery connected, alternator uncovered and spraying directly into the fusebox... You like to live dangerously my man!
12 volts is completely safe. That's why you can touch car battery terminals. Water isn't a problem below about 50 volts
@@tenmillionvolts water isn't a problem for you, not necessarily for certain car's components, especially when energized.

I would recommend using only Honda trans fluid.Honda trans are wierd that way.
I was hoping this comment was somewhere. ONLY honda trans fluid everytime

Nice work Randy.
3500 with that type of mileage.

Looks great I love that gen coupe... you forgot to pressure wash the underside of the hood...
Hi I love your videos keep the videos up
You need to clay bar it. Look it up it will take off all those imperfections on the paint and make it like glass.
I think you used stem pressure washer for the engine bay
So I watched randy wash under the hood I’m confident to spray everything now
My 99 v6 Accord has transmission problems but I guess it is a common thing for the v6 Accords
So you reset the maintenance light but did you actually do all the maintenance?
Only use Honda trans fluid man. I learned the hard way don’t try to use a off brand the Honda stuff is the only stuff that will work
Cheers for the video, Randy. Stay safe!
