Yea her voice has a more heavy tone which makes it more full and rich so it gives a harder punch compared to Idina Menzel for example which is more airy and on the thinner side. Both of them can hit high notes but Morissettes heavyness just makes me feel more and not just go wow that was high.

Hi Alison, happened upon your channel by accident. Saw you decided to try Mori for the first time and so I'm sold. I love pretty much everything Mori does. If you want more bands you've probably never heard of then I'd highly recommend Babymetal. I'd recommend their song Headbanger Legend 1997 (that isn't the year it was recorded, but rather the year the main vocalist was born and it was a concert celebrating her birthday as her birthday had just happened a couple days prior). After that, you'll probably get a TON of people joining your growing youtube family and many will suggest other Japanese bands (oh yeah, Babymetal is a Japanese band) such as lovebites, Wagaki Band, Bandmaid, and others, so you'll easily have a nice list to venture through. All those bands are quite good. This is coming from a Canadian who doesn't even speak Japanese, but loves the music. Anyhow, hope you enjoy your journey and looking forward to seeing your reaction one day (hopefully soon! lol) to Babymetal as well. Also looking forward to your reaction to more Morissette Amon too!
Filipinos are natural born singers, she is not a trained singer, it is in our culture. But she is one of the cream of the crop. Almost everybody in the Philippines can sing well. Ever since the Karaoke was not yet invented yet. And almost all the house here has its own videoke a karaoke with TV monitor for the lyrics.

Yea her voice has a more heavy tone which makes it more full and rich so it gives a harder punch compared to Idina Menzel for example which is more airy and on the thinner side. Both of them can hit high notes but Morissettes heavyness just makes me feel more and not just go wow that was high.
If you notice, she always smiles when she sings. Never quite seen anything like that before.
Videos of Ms. Amon-Lamar, where she sings live, should be mandatory at any singing school, public or private. She is a singing book personified. 😊

Hi Alison, happened upon your channel by accident. Saw you decided to try Mori for the first time and so I'm sold. I love pretty much everything Mori does. If you want more bands you've probably never heard of then I'd highly recommend Babymetal. I'd recommend their song Headbanger Legend 1997 (that isn't the year it was recorded, but rather the year the main vocalist was born and it was a concert celebrating her birthday as her birthday had just happened a couple days prior). After that, you'll probably get a TON of people joining your growing youtube family and many will suggest other Japanese bands (oh yeah, Babymetal is a Japanese band) such as lovebites, Wagaki Band, Bandmaid, and others, so you'll easily have a nice list to venture through. All those bands are quite good. This is coming from a Canadian who doesn't even speak Japanese, but loves the music. Anyhow, hope you enjoy your journey and looking forward to seeing your reaction one day (hopefully soon! lol) to Babymetal as well. Also looking forward to your reaction to more Morissette Amon too!

Filipinos are natural born singers, she is not a trained singer, it is in our culture. But she is one of the cream of the crop. Almost everybody in the Philippines can sing well. Ever since the Karaoke was not yet invented yet. And almost all the house here has its own videoke a karaoke with TV monitor for the lyrics.

Hi beautiful young lady. Well you have certainly opened up a can of worms. Nothing like starting at the very top. Morissette is a phenomenon. She has an incredible range, silky tone, can sing any genre and is widely regarded as the best female singer on the planet at this time. She was only 20 when she performed this. She recently sang this same song live in concert with David Foster and it was so much better than this performance. Just goes to show how much she has honed her skills in the last 5 years.
Only listen to her live performances as she feeds off her audiences and always brings something spectacular to her live performances
