1 sing is "Never Enough" to discover all her talents and singing technical skills. I'm in my 50's and I never witness an artists having as many techniques than Morissette. Imagine singing contrasting genres like Classical and Broadway musicals into Fast rapping and heavy metals. Performing power ballads then later on do Rock medleys all in one concert. Her lows are lows and high are very high. Insane vocal range. Many vocal coaches said that their students learned a lot from Morissette. 🏆👍

You cannot go wrong with anything by Morissette, but I recommend initially continuing with more of her big Wish Bus performances that helped start bringing her more worldwide recognition such as Rise Up, Akin Ka Na Lang, Secret Love Song, Panaginip, Shine, You and I. Word of warning, however - once you hear a Morissette cover, you will not likely want to hear the original again. She has also started writing and producing her own songs with the help of her husband Dave Lamar. Check out the 5 songs on her first EP "Signature" - Wow!

I agree. I live in the US and it is full of terrible singers who are adulated, and great singers outside the US do not penetrate the US market. She has more talent than virtually every singer in the US today (and that includes Christina Aguilera, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, etc.)

@@bbwng54 Christina is the only one worth mentioning and she is not what she was. Taylor is phenomenal writer but her voice is not special . Ariana has a tone that grates my nerves I have never understood why people mention her as a great vocalist. Gaga has the emotion but not the chops and Kelly and Carrie are certainly great vocalists but Morissette is in her absolute prime right now and getting better. Maybe one day the great diva vocalist will make a return to the music scene and Mori will lead the way.

Lea Salonga (the only 2 time disney princess and broadway icon), Regine Velasquez, Katrina Velarde, Marcelito Pomoy, KZ Tandingan and many more. What make Morissette Amon stand out from everyone else is her ability to completely immerse herself in a song and to really tell the story through singing.
So many singers/ vocalists tend to be too overly focused on their technique and as u put it, "show what they can do" rather than thinking about what actually would fit the message and theme of a song.
To make a song great you need great technique of course, but you also need a story, authenticity and immersion.
If we don't have either of it we are only showing our technical ability and that is easy to hear if you have a good musical ear.
Even if you are not on camera, if you are not authentic and immersed when telling the story it will come through sonically.
