Hi Barrie, this is another wonderful and educational presentation. I have no memories to unlock as this was a little before my time. I think we should start manufacturing our own rolling stock just as shown in this video. Well done 👏 👍

Hi John, I agree fully although I think that will never happen again. The quality produced back then is amazing considering the tools that were available. Not a CNC machine to be seen. 🤣

During this time, our famous steam locomotive, 3801 was built and put in service. Puffing out of the workshops in what they call “The Grey Nurse” a livery that is completely grey, suiting that time period for camaflouge

There were also shortages of resources and manufacturing was prioritized to the war effort so coloured paint was a luxury.

The 2 photos of the unknown frames are P class engine frames and the shape of the frame sticking up is the newer frames, in the 1950's it was found that the original low frames of the class were cracking causing most of the class to be reframed with higher frames.

I don’t know if TH-cam will allow Hitler on TH-cam but they haven’t taken this down. Great video

Plenty of military documentaries on WW2 on youtube showing many images of Hitler, part of history that shouldn't be forgotten or censored.

Your "completed cruiser tanks" are, in fact, universal carriers. Please don't spread misinformation on the net that will be quoted over and over again.
