Thank you so much for this video Aïda, very helpful! 👍 I've been struggling with (health) anxiety and panic attacks for years but ever since reading the book about the DARE response I'm slowly getting more and more confident that I can finally overcome this. The app is really helpful as well! You and Barry and Michelle are lifesavers 💜 Thank you! 🙏
This had really helped me to understand what DARE truly is, thank you so much for explaining it and how i can use the four steps in my life to help me cope with my anxiety
I have had anxiety since 2017 when I discovered DARE and it has been great since then I have had three setbacks over the years and each one more horrible. Two years ago my mother died and I had a huge one Where I had songs 24/7 in my head for a WHOLE YEAR so desperately I went to the psychiatrist and therapy I was diagnosed with OCD and GAD. Now I'm on another one two years later and the same symptoms and the songs i don't understand nothing. I am not afraid of the symptoms and neither of my thoughts, the body simply does what it wants and it is irritating. I believed that recovery was that, not afraid of fear, I know perfectly well that the symptoms are not dangerous, they just bother me. So I don't understand why this problem keeps happening.
I feel like the "I am not afraid of the symptoms and neither of my thoughts" and "they just bother me" are very contradicting. If something bothers you, you're brain is going to do what it can to keep these thoughts coming back because it feels like these things that bother you need to be fixed. I believe DARE encourages you to welcome these thoughts, and not view them as bothersome. If your relationship with your thoughts is that they bother you, that's a negative relationship, these thoughts will NEVER go away. I can assure you that there is a mindset shift or habit that you are unconsciously doing, whether it is ruminating and not realizing, or still having fear. In the best way possible, don't try and think you are special and that you are the only one that will never overcome this.
Easier said than done, the problem is much more complex to be resolved with these 4 steps. I know because I've tried it It takes much much more than this Dare is based on Joe Barry's Panic Away program I believe so This is not to discourage you,but not to be disappointed It''s well meaning and honest and helpful but from my experience it takes more to be free
This is brilliant thank you ❤
Thank you. Dare is, by far, the best program to get you out of the Anxiety loop!!

Maybe you can explain exactly what you mean and give some tips or suggestions instead of making cryptic statements and discouraging everyone here?
so in your experience, what “more” did it take to be free ?
Right? @@eva6290
Fucking Amazing!
This isn’t helpful for what to do about big life stressors or if trauma comes up.
