Fabulous music - Bee Gees always pushed themselves creatively
This is a great piece of music, very creative and complex. It wasn't a big hit because radio just placed these guys into the disco bag for life. But artistically, this was better, even more progressive than before, the vocals, musicianship, just perfect! And look at Maurice, the cool one in the video! RIP brothers.
Agreed to the hilt. As Barry said once, their musical journey was one of "where do we go from here" and "to confound the critics" !

It's my favourite Bee Gees album. Their angelic voices, muffled drums by Steve Gadd, Russ Kunkel and Jeff Porcaro, warm bass by Harold Cowart and everything else. I would love to know more about the techniques used by Gibb-Galuten-Richardson team during recording and mixing. To me, this album will always be an example of great sound engineering.

A seriously underrated song off a strong album that was quickly forgotten. The production on each track is superb, as with most
of the groups material. Unfortunately, they had played their hand as far as musical direction was concerned. They probably should have taken a few more years off after the Disco scene cooled before putting these songs out. They needed one more album to fulfill their contract with RSO, so this was it.
Love this '80s beat. And Barry, looking like a majestic lion. This video is great! Well done, Bee Gees!

I was looking for this song FOR YEARS. I used specialized websites, I tried to sing the melody and all-accuratedly- yet, no one could help me. But it was the Bee Gees all the time and I had no idea!

What an awesome song and video I love that the video actually corresponds with the song...Maurice is definitely cool in this video,he's cool in every video...he's such a sweet heart of a man sexy,beautiful and gorgeous...actually all the brothers Gibb are gorgeous that includes Andy as well... the Bee Gees are the most creative extraordinary unique group ever,they are timeless...I remember the first song I heard from the Bee Gees I was 10 yrs. old How can you mend a broken heart...even at a young age I fell in love with that song and I was infatuated with Barry...when the sound track and movie for (Saturday Night Fever) came out I was in awe...I loved the movie and the music was WOW! I love these guys...I loved the Beatles music too and still do but the brothers Gibb had then and through out their careers the years something so special the harmonies is like Angels singing...they deserved better than what was done to them back then...I love my Bee Gees and always will...they will forever be in my heart...absolutely beautiful men...their music will live on...

Been fortunate enough to have grown up with the Bees Gees. Every genre - they could turn their talent to anything. Phenomenal. Absolute fire 🔥. Never again will any generation be fortunate enough to experience the wonder of such a group of brothers for decades. Just love them to bits - never fail. There’s bad music, there’s good music and then there’s the Bee Gees on another level. 💕

The Bee Gee tracks 2 years later from Staying Alive were awesome. I play the 1st half of that record when I go home from 2nd shift now at age 51. I didn't know that they were even recording at that time as I was into Duran Duran in my youth.

I honestly believe that this album came out a year or two ahead of a "best timing" era.
This was the time of a new decade and because the brothers were trying to move as far away as possible to the disco backlash, this album despite critical merits, was still drowned in commercial failure. No airplay, no promotion as RSO went bankrupt.
However, there was always a nagging question & suggestion i had in mind that time. I strongly believe, it the Gibbs released a Christmas album instead of Living Eyes (which they could release later), we will enjoy at least 2-3 original holiday classic songs to be heard every single year! Coming fresh from writing & harmonizing with timeless songs as How Deep...; Too Much Heaven, etc... we can just imagine the great holiday feel harmonizing & just the right amount of falsetto mix in their Christmas songs.
I'm 100% certain of most people embracing this, because it's not in any way related to disco and would've been music we will enjoy each & every year to come!❤

I was on Bougainville in PNG my dad worked for BCL there . In 1981 there was a week long blockade of the mine . Somehow I remembered this song on NBC radio when that was going on .

This is one of my favourites Bee Gees songs. I regard it as their finest piece of work since the Idea era, and much better than their disco tunes, but radio saw it from other point of view in those years and turn the back to them because of the disco stigma.
