    To use for the C-ring separation of clutch release bearings pull type, tool to use in 54 seconds around 3 minutes is long flathead screwdriver type.
    Put between the junction of the clutch cover and release bearing, the driver, and then the disconnect by twisting 90 degrees.
    Hey, you are be tricky.

      Evo X's clutch replacement is also a process similar to this Evo VIII image.
      However, it takes time since Evo X is heavier than the mission itself.

    It was just a large flathead screwdriver. You wedge the screwdriver between the TOB and the wedge collar. Push in on the wedge collar with the TOB. And then turn the screwdriver 90*. That pops the TOB out of the wedge collar allowing you to drop the transmission.

    Most of the are pretty weak, the really strong center diff is found in the 2004 evo rs model they had LSD center diffs. He did do it the long way by removing the steering rack. But I agree with him it makes everything ALOT easier and gives you much more room.

    Here is a tip , instead of wrapping the hydraulic line in a plastic bag , stick an old valve stem through the line , no leaks , easier bleed after

      Regarding stopping the ACD line, we thought about how to stop and stop the existing bolt unit, but it is easier for cost and time to receive it with a plastic bag than to process it.

      It would be a good idea to overhaul it as a mileage, 10000 kilometers, or as a rough guide for the season off.

    • @gregmcarthur9735
      @gregmcarthur9735 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      When doing overhaul do you normally replace anything in the Lsd or just clean & inspect for wear or damage as I did not see you replace parts only clean & put back together ?.

    • @ebo10sst
      @ebo10sst  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      For overhaul of the LSD, replace only the internal friction plate.

    I still can't believe that Mitsubishi in Japan will only charge 4-6 hours (400-500 usd) of work for a clutch/flywheel exchange. It would take me a week just to get to the clutch.... Although I prefer doing things myself, this definitely doesn't look enough phun to do it ;)

    This video is a 6-speed transmission.
    Do you remove the selector shaft before removing the mission, the difference between five-speed transmission, with six-speed transmission is only removed or not.
    In the case of 6-speed transmission, part of the selector because it interferes with the frame, I will remove it.
    Please do your best!

      Since the bolt size is also small, we are working in a delicate feeling.

      The gear ratio has not changed.
      If you change, it is 4.875 final for Evo 6's RS.
      However, it is not suitable for 6th gear. It is only 5 speed.

      Yeah, I did this a couple of months ago, a lot of people say don't use loctite. So I was wondering if that was assembly lube. So I did used assembly lube on my flywheel, 2k miles with no issues, knock on wood.

      This comment is for the refernce of others: I just did an evo 4 and the sub frame is different and does not require dropping. My ix does to make life easier though. Love your videos, subscribed.

    Great great technician but FUCK, mitSUBIshi you couldn't make a car that doesn't require to take out a thousand parts for just the clutch? No wonder you (Evo) are no longer in production. Thank god

    Great Video. You know what to do! Not every technican is good Like you! You helped me a lot. I am from Germany and Nobody wants to chance the Clutch in my Lancer Evo VIII so I doing it on my own and make a TH-cam Video. It would be a honor for me if you watch my Video too when is finished.
