Longest LAND battle was the Siege of Leningrad, which lasted 872 days. The fascists preferred to starve the city for years than face urban combat. They routinely bombed the civilian areas, targeted hospitals, schools, and food distribution centers like bakeries. They originally claimed it was in response to "sniper attacks" and then just stopped justifying it. I think it's worth pointing out that piece of trivia this holiday season in particular.
Yeah, Battle of the Atlantic is more a combination of battles than a single battle itself. I’m with Adam here. My history degree may say Ancient History. But, I dabble in modern stuffs. That is like saying every naval engagement in the Pacific is all combined into one giant Battle of the Pacific. That is like saying Napoleon’s Italy campaign was one battle rather than the Siege of Mantua and Battle of Rivoli and the battle of Lodi. That is like calling calling the Peloponnesian War a single engagement instead of the Battle of Potidaea and the Battle of Syracuse. Hell, even the single ship Bismarck had more battles than just 1 in the Atlantic. It sunk the HMS Hood and then later got sunk by HMS Ark Royal in a whole different battle. I think Adam’s point of Stalingrad is still wrong. Even that I’d say is more a campaign rather than a battle. But, his answer is more correct. Well, it was a siege. We’ll call it one battle. Point Adam.
I love that guys have done couple of these quizzes now. And the trade thing they did was fun. If they still do these after new year it would be cool to have CJ and Julien to p!ay these too. Or Drew and Maddie whose behind the camera.
Adam was right on both the first questions. Largest BATTLESHIP was the Bismarck. YAMOTO was an aircraft carrier and you said battleship. Huge difference. Also Stalningrad was the longest single battle. Battle of Atlantic is like saying the "battle of france" lol.
i'm about half way through this episode and it's great but i wish we could have like a real buzzer noise for the quizes lol...I would say give them bells but that would be a little chaotic
Steve im so glad we agree on country music. It has no business being as popular as it is. Listen to some millionaire pretend hes worked on a farm or knows anything about typical southern country life. Its hilarious that people think they represent them.
@@eunit8899 hip hop is not as disingenuous but I wouldn't say I align with gangsta rap and all that. I prefer EDM. It's just too easy. I should become a country music star. The lyrics write themselves. Beer. Tractor. Beer. Tractor. Americaaaaaaa
7:55 D day was not a newspaper name given after. it was a code word so that military could talk and plan the operation without ever actually saying when the operation would happen. i.e. at d-day + 1 hour x group will do y action. french records dont say d day, instead disembarkation day. the same thing happened with beach names, "juno beach" is where canadians primarily landed. we now know that juno beach means the section of coastline between the towns of Courseulles-sur-Mer and Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, to any german spy who hears about a landing on juno beach, it could be anywhere. "juno" was the named after the wife of Wing Commander Michael Dawnay. makes the intelligence useless unless you know where juno is and when d day is, nobody has to know those except the supreme commanders.
Worst hockey podcast around. You guys have to be the worst analysts I’ve ever heard. Makes sense being leaf’s homers though, which kills all real hockey analysis.
We need a Jesse Blake trivia tournament during the offseason featuring all our favorite cast and characters of sdpn.
Warehouse games: trivia edition
Brilliant! Each show is a team with Jesse as the host, rent out an auditorium and do it as a live event!
Totally agree
@@froboy252 would buy a ticket for that immediately
this is a great episode of looking up the answers while the guys struggle with the answers
This is a great comment that you left there in the comment section!
@@helloimshawnphenomenal reply in the replies!

Just wanna say it’s a nice touch that you schedule these pods over the break. Happy Holidays!

As I continue Adam’s answers are giving me the ick.
Yeah, his mostly right answer of Stalingrad was his peak 😂
I would've guessed Stalingrad. It was certainly the bloodiest.
#1 joy of this episode: jesse's enjoyment of the whole thing
I could easily watch one of these a week
Fun fact: Justin Holl has a grand total of 5 shots on net in 24 games.
Adam: "Jesse is really good at trivia"
Jesse: immediately overplanned and under prepared
Lol, I never comment, but this is definitely a highlight of my xmas break. Thanks you guys!
The shirt makes the legs hanging on the table look like Steve's. Pretty funny
EEAO was actually a good movie haha. Nomadland and Parasite were great too!
High school history teacher here, this was amazingly hilarious
History buff says this was amazingly hilarious. Turns out Adam's history skills are not what I thought.

There is a grim satisfaction I take in Adam not *immediately* knowing answers to WWII questions 🤣🤣🤣
Please do more of these!!

Having to get the correct order wrecked a good game.
Legit the Battle of the Atlantic gets me every time
When Adam said "NHL Captains", I immediately said Jared Spurgeon. One second later, Steve says Jared Spurgeon!!!!!!
So no one watched Oppenheimer? I thought someone would get Los Alamos
Awesome episode
How about trivia Tuesday 's lol what a blast
Really enjoyed playing along with that one
This was great. Should be a weekly thing lol

Did these guys… not… watch Oppenheimer?!
13:28 Brit Selby was my highschool history teacher, he taught at North Toronto CI
It'd be cool next time if the Buzzer app played an audible chime, unique to the player buzzing in.
Like Steve, I had Gretzky, Jagr, Francis for assists.
Oppenheimer literally came out THIS year..... How do you not get Los Alamos lol
i have no idea how Adam stayed in radio so long while having no frame of reference in pop culture.
Nepo Baby, do you know who his mom is?
1:03 i cant believe steve would just steal jim rutherford's motto without quoting him smh
Steve killed it on the coaches
Absolutely crushed the Oscars category.
This was a blast to watch!
These are still some freezing cold takes about the Oscars.
Will this include “Who he play for?” 😂
Dammit! They need to have a "Who he play for?" category next year.
small whiteboards would work better for this
Matt Groening's father, Homer Philip Groening, is Canadian. Matt himself is American, from Portland, Oregon
Greenbook was an amazing movie but I hate most Oscar winners
Love the show. Despise your lack of movie knowledge.
Awesomesauce
This is awesome! I wish I could give extra thumbs up
Before I watch this, i hope Jessie put a few F1 questions in the mug.😅
The name a woman meme will never not be funny
his real name isn't "baby yoda" because yoda is also dead by then lol
If you’re looking for someone who’s gone from Top 40 to Easy Listening, check out Post Malone’s new record. Think y’all would enjoy it.

Im sorry adam but those ww2 weren't particularly hard....
I’m disappointed in Steven. As an 18 year old Vancouver fan, I got 12 leafs from that year
