The issue at 37:00 with the 100 goals as a Leaf list, which was pointed out later in the discord, was that for some reason the start date was 1991-92, so only 16 guys got on the list. The actual list of 100 goal scorers for the Leafs has 60 guys on it.

Honestly, I loved this episode. Very fun. It was great fun for a portion of travels.
As a Habs fan, that draft pick question was frustrating. Not only was it that most recent draft, it had all the drama. All 3 of them travelled TO Montreal and Steve was in the building interviewing the players!

For the Rocket thing yeah '13-14 was the post-lockout year and it was when the Caps had the Adam Oates experiment with Ovi really establishing the office on the PP. It was also just a terrible team system that led to the GM and coach being fired when the team missed the playoffs and then Barry Trotz being hired before the Caps reeled off back to back Pres Trophies in '15-'16 and then '16-'17

Not at that cap hit unfortunately. He would be great on the Leafs with how he's currently playing but that contract is insane. Especially considering we don't know if Karlsson may slump again.
@@KevynKing True words... That cap hits hard. Perhaps there can be a deal where SJ pays part of the contract, perhaps its impossible anyway. But just imagine a Toronto with a fully functioning EK65, thats a Stanley Cup contender.
@@tomaskling2429 The only reason the Sharks would trade Karlsson is cause of that monster of a contract. If they had more cap space, theoretically they'd be better. The Leafs would have to give up A LOT to have the Sharks retain even a quarter of it, and they'd have to give up a lot more if they ever wanted to move out from under it should be regress again. He's had not even half a season of being top of his game again, we don't know how long it'll stick around. It would be awesome, but chances are slim. The Leafs best bet is to go after someone as a rental on an expiring contract or short term contract. Their D really hasn't been the problem though, for the first time in years it's been stellar. They'd be better off bolstering their left side up front. Get someone like Bertuzzi or Timo Mier if you wanna stick with SJ.
As a US citizen I can confidently say my knowledge of state capitals is about on par with your own....
