@@stormxlr Oh, right I forgot. Then there is trying to movie it... I'm a fairly strong guy, weight is not an issue, but trying to lift it as it falls apart in your hands... Two fingers on the motherboard recess and then try to grab the front and hope you are grabbing a place where the front panel doesn't come off.
If you can fit SFX-L then Silverstone is also a good option. My overclocked ryzen 2600 and 5700XT almost never trigger the fan on my Silverstone 700W power supply

I love that there are so many more ITX parts nowadays. Dunno who can remember it as well, but my first itx board was the P8Z77i with a 2500k in it. That board changed my fascination with PCs forever and to this day I regret selling this as I believe it was somewhat the first real ITX board for enthusiasts (obviously solely for nostalgia).

Hey, thanks for your videos, I find them clean and concise with plenty of information. You might want to check out the Power Color Radeon 5700xt (no dragon nor devil), it's the shortest I've seen so far, at 230mm and cooler with same height as PCB, so far I haven't seen any reviews of it.

@@vablo7198 9700k seems just fine from what i've seen. As long as you at minimum go with the best air cooler (Noctua L12S), or watercooling if you really want to. It's also far below the specs of a Corsair SF600 in terms of power draw. Even overclocking 9700k + 2080 TI you can just barely start getting close to the limit. You really have to exaggerate the power draw to justify a SF750 power supply.
@@odinsplaygrounds To be fair, I got the 3700x and to me it just looks like it has high idle temp, but once you crack it up it doesn't really shoot up as much.

Have things changed since I last checked a few months ago? Otherwise, excellent content as always, both in form & substance.
02:59 Have to correct you here. The MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC features *60A Power Stages,* not 50A. To be specific, it uses the IR35201 voltage controller and the IR3555 PowIR-Stages, which both for quite some time were the best parts you could buy in their respective category. It is by the way the single best Vcore VRM that you can get on any B450 board. I cant tell why MSI made this mainboard, because it makes absolutely zero sense. But its still nice to see an entry-level ITX board with a VRM thats better than all other B450, most X470 and many X570 mainboards.

Check out the Power Color "no name" 5700XT. Not the blower fan reference, Red Dragon or Red Devil. Its a dual fan design built on the reference PCB, so it doesn't have the height limitations of the Red Dragon you reviewed, curious how it stacks up with the Red Dragon. Quality content as always!
Ooooo! A OT video on ITX post! I’m putting my pants on and making some coffee! I love watching a new ITX post while I wait for the next Louqe run to hit amazon! Ahh screw the pants!
What parts did you fit? I was able to squeeze in a dual fan Noctua NH-C14s cooler, and Arctic Accellero Xtreme III gpu cooler. The only case mod was a very basic replacement of the power cable and using a slim 92mm rear fan.
@@Kathdath I managed to fit in a Seasonic M12II 520W power supply in it via case mod(bending that support tab for the psu), for now I used 4 generic 120mm fans, 2 top and 2 bottom. I'll be switching those out with noctua slim fans in the future for a better and silent system. Not much but, Mostly fan changes for now
MikeG's Gaming Pub I got away with regular 25mm fans up top, but that is due to the orientation of the power input on my Silverstone SFXL psu. I really recommend raising the up to increase airflow from the bottom. I went as far as removing the case legs-sleds and using rubber speaker feat. The front panel visually hides this mod, while some magnetic mesh filters take care of dust.
A great alternative to the L9i is the Jonsbo HP-400. The Noctua is very loud and preforms worse than the stock cooler. Replaced my build with a HP-400 and it is far better than the l9i. The HP-400 can be found on ebay.
I don't think this guy has tested this, but if you have 70mm clearance, I recommend the big shuriken 3 or shadow rock lp over the noctua l12. I've tested all 3 and the big shuriken was capable of cooling even my newer 3950x. The noctua tapped out with the default fan. If you've got 80mm, slap a fill size 120mm noctua fan on the BS3. It fits nicely in something like an RVZ03.
@Optimum Tech, the Silverstone Fortress FTZ01 (non-E) is a much better SFX ITX case than the Node 202. I'd love to see you review it. It fits the Noctua NH-L12S no problem and has thermals rivaling the NCASE M1! Excellent production as always.

I don't understand the popularity of ITX cases that are long enough for a full size video card. They take up just as much desk space as a minitower. The outputs-facing-up ones are more interesting but who wants the back of the motherboard on top?

I'm sure you are aware by now but wanted to mention that ASUS is selling a dual fan Mini RTX 2070 OC for $419 as of February 2020. I got it recently and it's an excellent card for an ITX build. It's quieter than the single fan offerings from other manufacturers.
The only problem i have when building m-itx right now is that there's no am4 motherboard that support zen2 out of box. Now, i know you can call amd for that, but sometimes it's more of a hassle; but my point is, that sucks.

Do you think the eisbaer would be able to pull off two 240mm radiators? I don't think it would but I don't have an Apogee Drive, it'd be amazing to run a dual 240mm set up in the M1 but finding a pump to fit and work in it is near impossible.
I live the Redux Noctua fans. The 1700RPM models are great for radiators or anything else, with good static pressure (amazing compared to RGB fans lol)
The small form factor stuff is only cute. It doesn't outperform something larger, and it's not even a cheaper option anymore as the dedicated SFF stuff is now more expensive.
One note of correction... Alphacool DO NOT make the best quick disconnect fittings. The black models have very poor finish that wears quickly. Koolance makes far more reliable qdc fittings and has been the standard in industrial settings for quite some time. Bitspower's qdc fittings are better as well.
I say again, you should really take a look at the Sharkoon QB One ITX case. It can really take some serious hardware inside and still be small and cool.
Only thing with the cheaper SSDs at the moment is that they are qlc instead of tlc or mlc, meaning they're less durable, and often offer shorter warranties, not saying they're a bad option just important to keep in mind

Noctua fans and Corsair sff psus are a no-brainer. Pretty much every channel that I came across that builds sff pc use them.

@@vablo7198 No, it has lower power draw, but it's hotter. That's one of the main reasons I didn't want to go for the 3700x, which I was considering.

Those noctua CPU coolers are so outstanding, I'll never use anything else after the incredible performance I've gotten out of mine.

i use the reeven steropes cooler. you have to get an am4 bracket separately, but it cools great.

Do you think the eisbaer would be able to pull off two 240mm radiators? I don't think it would but I don't have an Apogee Drive, it'd be amazing to run a dual 240mm set up in the M1 but finding a pump to fit and work in it is near impossible.
I live the Redux Noctua fans. The 1700RPM models are great for radiators or anything else, with good static pressure (amazing compared to RGB fans lol)
What do you think about the Fractal Node 304? I know, it's not that tiny but i like that size
I'm using the msi board with the super low profile noctua and a 3600, runs very well with decent temps and not too hot.

Ever heard of a mini-ITX case such as the Velka 5 or the Dan A4-SFX with a 3.5" drive slot and support for 115mm large GPUs?
The small form factor stuff is only cute. It doesn't outperform something larger, and it's not even a cheaper option anymore as the dedicated SFF stuff is now more expensive.
One note of correction... Alphacool DO NOT make the best quick disconnect fittings. The black models have very poor finish that wears quickly. Koolance makes far more reliable qdc fittings and has been the standard in industrial settings for quite some time. Bitspower's qdc fittings are better as well.
The cooler master geminii M5 cpu cooler is definitely a cheap option you should consider.
It has 5 copper heat pipes and cost something like 30box
I say again, you should really take a look at the Sharkoon QB One ITX case. It can really take some serious hardware inside and still be small and cool.

Only thing with the cheaper SSDs at the moment is that they are qlc instead of tlc or mlc, meaning they're less durable, and often offer shorter warranties, not saying they're a bad option just important to keep in mind
