This was my introduction to Tool in the early 90’s and it reinvigorated my interest in music in general. It’s evolved into an obsession with a band I haven’t really experienced since Rush and Zeppelin in the 70’s and 80’s. Enjoy the moment and great reaction as usual Zay!

She will probably know the song, and so might you, but I bet neither of you have watched him performing live (53 at the time). Also, AC/DC "Thunderstruck Live At River Plate" and Fleetwood Mac (anything, really, but especially) "Rhiannon Midnight Live Special 1976". Fabulous. And so many more!!!!

I know I've been Tool Army for 30 years and Sober was the song that started it all for me, that bass line cut across all the other music at the time. I have a suggestion, another band to react to, Rage Against the Machine, kinda a rock/rap fusion, very intelligent, anti- establishment lyrics, unique lead guitarist and they came up with Tool., Maynard is on one of the songs "Take the power back" from their self titled debut album. My suggestion for your next Tool reaction is "Pushit" from Ænema, in my opinion one of their masterpieces. Spiral out...Keep Going

Good song! One off the few that are memorable. The rest are lesser carbon copies. Not too diverse compared to a Steely Dan or Jethro Tull. Yes, the drummer is top tier.

Same. I recorded the official video on a TDK VHS tape, off RTR Countdown in 1993. Had no idea who this Tool guy was.

Tool can be incredibly intense. Danny Carey is an amazing drummer, and he will delight you every time! Love ya, Zay!
