Hi Nick and thanks for your very kind comments 👍 What area were you paddling? Eleven days sounds wonderful, I'd love to hear more about your adventure please. Feedback is brilliant and I'd welcome more on has what inspired you from the video 🤔, it's very humbling to think they've had that effect🤔 Lots more great content coming soon and there's hopefully something from Shetland as I'm travelling up there on Friday. It's primarily a sight seeing trip for my wife and I'm still rehabing my back but hope to get a few day trip in with my Shetland friends...watch this space! 😂😂 Cheers Nick. Blue sky's and great conditions...maybe I'll get an invite next time 😂😂
Hi Geoff, another great video documenting your adventures and inspiring us all to get back out on the water. Solo paddling at the Mull of Galloway requires serious skill & nerve......Well done & thanks again for sharing!
Thanks again for your wonderful comments, I'm pleased you're enjoying the video's of my little adventures. Some of these places with complex, fast tidal streams require lots of respect, careful planning and a cautious eye on conditions while on the water. Cheers, and lots more to come !!
I know this is an older paddle but thank you for the drone shots around the isle. The tide seemed choppy and I wish the cave was exploreable but alas, not. The colors on the rocks were nice to see, thanks mate.
Hi Steven and thanks again for your comments irrespective of how old video or the paddle was, it's great to hear your feedback! Yes, it's an interesting piece of water as the tides converge off the end and definitely not the place to be with a big swell around. Cheers, Geoff
A lovely film Geoff, showing determination and perseverance plus keeping one's eyes open ... and how they can all come up with the goods at the right time and the goal is reached!! Thank you again for sharing this video. Now go and rest those shoulders and elbows... sort of! Best wishes, Pam
As always Pam, so pleased you are following and enjoying my little jaunts. No time to rest I'm afraid, we just got back from 2 weeks up on the North East end of Scotland inc 1 week on Orkney (sadly without my kayak😪😪) stunning scenery and very good weather 👍👍 It's now time to up my rehab game and get paddle fit again 😀😃💪💪
@@geoffburke As long as you both enjoyed it, that's what matters. Just don't go pushing the rehab too hard. No, not boringly twee 'n precious, but even more boringly... SENSIBLE!!! Not that I was once a nursing sister a hundred years ago. You'd never have guessed!
@@pamfreeman5197 Ahh, thanks Pam, not boring it's the gentle reminders I usually remember, the shouldn't, can't and don't I tend not to hear 😄. Have you still got the uniform 😂
Thanks again Bevo, pleased you enjoyed it. Rehab going really well thanks, I've had one short trip several weeks ago but just come back from two weeks motorhome holiday (no kayaks sadly😥😥) touring Orkney and Scotland's North Coast which is outstandingly beautiful and will return with the kayak again once I'm back up to speed. I crossed the mighty Pentland and circumnavigated Orkney years ago and returning with the motorhome brought the memories flooding back. Cheers
Thanks, yes its a superb trip, wonderful scenery and lots of fast races that I love. Cheers 👍 Enjoy and lots more terrific trip video's on the channel 😀 Enjoy and please feel free to share with friends 😀 👍
@@TheKayakCrew Absolutely 💯 one day's paddle trip may take me a week or 2 to edit certainly equating to 3 - 4 days solid (I know I'm slow 😂) and take me a day just to add narrative and sort sound levels/voice and distortions 🙄🙄 But the satisfaction of a reasonable video, recorded memories (main thing) plus lovely appreciation & positive feedback from like minded folk like yourself make it all worthwhile 😃😃👍💯 Cheers
@@geoffburke I must say the production was great. The narrative with the info about currents etc is what fellow kayakers like myself want to hear. What takes me ages is sorting out the footage because I have amassed so much from countless trips and most of its not yet organised. I just use iMovie and try and keep it simple but still seems to take ages 🤣
@@TheKayakCrew ??? Cumon I need a name 😂👍 Thanks for the positive comments on production and narrative, yeah it's time consuming but produces results. When I got my Macbook I tried Final Cut but much prefer Davinci Resolve (free version) it's such a powerful program and I'm still constantly learning, which again I love learning new skills, but I'm just scratching the surface with what it's capable of. I had a quick look at Imovie, but again prefer Davinci, all a mater of taste I suppose. Thanks again. ?? Regards Geoff
@@geoffburke Looking at the map it's a 29,000km paddle via Aussie, South Africa, West Africa, Spain, UK, Liverpool or 24,000km via South America, West Africa. Be there next week!
@@geoffburke Maybe catch the eastward trade winds to Panama, a bit of portage and catch the Gulf Stream to the UK. Save all the baked beans required for the tail wind. 🤢 How to provide sustenance for the 3000+km stretches?
