Thanks for that Rodney, let's say summer hadn't quite reached there what you don't see is the horrendous rain, wind and fog that sometimes came in overnight. Glad you enjoyed the videos.

No not missing anything I just enjoyed your videos I thought they were cool. Your gurnards look very similar to ours. My wife caught a butterfly gurnard the other week. I'll send you a pic of it if you like.

Nice videos Michael . Been watching through them all enjoyed them all. Portpatrick I go to a couple of times a year plenty of choice of fishing styles and plenty of species . But I go for the conger in the harbour mainly . There are some big ones in there. A.T.B keep up the good work. Stewart

Thank you Stewart glad you enjoyed them. I must admit i have never fished Portpatrick but i know few guys of various forums that do and they seem to do well on species maybe i should get myself down that way.

Hiya Peeler 3, were you on the sandhead side of the mull or on the port Logan side? It looks a bit like where I was but I'd no gurnards.

Hi michael, Can I ask what your set up is (rod, reel weight line etc) Anytime I have used a multiplier for beach casting I get a birdie, so have always reverted to a big fixed spool reel.

On this occasion it was ...a pair of abu suveran sx's beachcasters, a matched pair of abu 6500 ct rockets minus brake blocks, ( i wouldn't remove brake blocks if i was you years of experience before you get to that stage) line is daiwa surf 18lb with a 50lb daiwa shock leader, i use 5oz grip leads. Hooks depend on where and conditions where i am fishing. Multipliers take a lot of practice to use properly i would get a mate that knows how to use them to give you some simple lessons.
